Official London Majors News Release
The London Majors have announced that local pitcher Braeden Ferrington (London, Ont.) will return for his eighth season.
Ferrington’s 2021 season saw him set career-bests in ERA (0.86), innings pitched (31 1/3), wins (2) and saves (4) — all while pitching 11 of his 12 games in relief. His 20 strikeouts were also the second-most in his IBL career. He had 25 in 2018.
"I am looking forward to another season in pinstripes in front of the best fans in the league,” said Ferrington. “Hopefully, the fans will be able to attend without any restrictions, so everyone can be a part of something special again.”
Majors co-owner, GM and field manager Roop Chanderdat praised the 29-year-old Ferrington’s work ethic.
“It was good to see Ferzy develop and mature both on and off the field and this led to his tremendous season last year,” said Chanderdat. “He is a guy that works hard on his craft and wants to get better.”
The London Majors are a member of the Intercounty Baseball League. In 2021, they won the IBL’s Jack & Lynn Dominico Trophy.
