Official London Majors News Release
The London Majors have announced the return of speedy infielder Keith Kandel.
Kandel is a seven-year Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) veteran, having played in Kitchener, Guelph and Burlington before making London his permanent home.
In his four seasons with the Majors, Kandel has evolved into a team leader. In his 163 games with London, he has 152 hits, 81 RBIs and 63 stolen bases.
“With the way the community supports us, and the successes we had as a team last year, it was a no brainer for me to want to be back in pinstripes for another run!,” said Kandel of his return to the Majors.
Majors co-owner, GM and manager Roop Chanderdat is excited to have the speedy infielder back.
“Keith returned to the Majors last season with a passion and drive that I had not seen since his early years in the IBL,” said Chanderdat. “He was determined to take advantage of this opportunity. Keith is one of our core players and a leader in the clubhouse. Looking forward to having him back in our line-up.”
The London Majors are a member of the Intercounty Baseball League. In 2021, they won the league’s Jack & Lynn Dominico Trophy.
