Official London Majors News Release

The London Majors have re-signed outfielder Drew Lawrence.

In 2022, Lawrence got off to a hot start with the Majors, hitting .550, with six RBIs and 11 hits in four games in May to earn him Intercounty Baseball League Player of the Month honours. He finished the season with 16 RBIs, 10 stolen bases and a .269 batting average.

Once the IBL season was completed, Lawrence joined the Fanshawe Falcons where he continued his dynamic play and captured a bronze medal at the OCAA championship.

“I definitely learned a lot throughout the past season,” said Lawrence. “The first-year jitters are out of the way and this year is gonna be scary.”

Roop Chanderdat, Majors co-owner and field manager, is excited to have Lawrence back.

“Drew is a talented local young player with lots of upside,” said Chanderdat. “He had a very good rookie season, contributing to our championship both at the plate and in the field. I am looking forward to seeing Drew take the next step in his development in the IBL.”
