Official London Majors News Release

The London Majors have re-signed outfielder Austin Wilkie (Mississauga, Ont.).

After entering the Intercounty Baseball League with the Brantford Red Sox in 2019, Wilkie has spent his last two seasons with the Majors.

In 2022, the Western Mustang had a career-high 24 RBIs, to go along with six home runs and four stolen bases. Since coming to the Majors in 2021, Wilkie has been a staple in centre field, playing a total of 563 innings.

“I’m looking forward to defending our back-to-back championships and donning the pinstripes in front of our loyal fans at Labatt once again this summer,” said Wilkie.

Majors field boss and co-owner Roop Chanderdat is happy to have Wilkie back.

“Wilkie has the tools to be one of the top players in the league,” said Chanderdat. “He is one of the guys that can step up in big games against top pitching which he has shown over his three years with the Majors. Wilkie gives us another strong player with IBL experience.”
