Official London Majors News Release

The London Majors are pleased to announce the signing of infielder Kaiden Cardoso, an Abbotsford, B.C., native who enjoyed a very strong collegiate career and will try to make an impact in an IBL lineup this summer.

Cardoso, a left-handed hitter, capped off his college days with a monster season for Antelope Valley (Lancaster, Calif.) at the NAIA level in 2023. In 44 games, he batted .450 with 16 home runs, 19 doubles and 52 RBIs for the Pioneers. His homers, .870 slugging percentage and 1.387 OPS led the California Pacific Athletic Conference (CPAC).

But his final season wasn’t his only impressive campaign. After a successful first year at Clarendon College (Texas), he played two seasons at Minot State (North Dakota) at the NCAA level, where he combined to hit .325 with 12 homers, 76 RBIs and 72 runs scored in 88 games in 2021 and 2022.

“Cardoso is a kid who put up great numbers in college and is looking to continue his development here in London,” said Roop Chanderdat, the Majors’ GM and field manager. “He gives us another good left-handed bat in the lineup, and he’s another player with versatility that can play multiple positions in the infield.”

A 24-year-old, Cardoso grew up playing at Vauxhall Academy in Alberta. He has the size and defensive acumen to play both corner infield spots, as well as second base.

“I’m looking forward to coming in and playing at Labatt Park for the Majors,” said Cardoso. “I’m excited to compete for a championship.”
