Official London Majors News Release
London, Ontario - The London Majors have signed left-handed pitcher Pedro De Los Santos.
The 31-year-old is no stranger to the IBL as he pitched for the Toronto Maple Leafs from 2017 to 2019, accumulating 98 2/3 innings and 97 strikeouts. De Los Santos also has international experience with the Dominican Republic national team in 2019.
"I am really excited to play for Roop and the London Majors,” said De Los Santos. “They run a professional organization and I am looking forward to pitching at Labatt Park."
Majors co-owner, manager and general manager Roop Chanderdat is happy to add De Los Santos.
“Pedro is a veteran pitcher with IBL experience that will be an asset to our bullpen,” said Chanderdat. “He is a pitcher that keeps you off balance and can fill roles both in long relief and save type situations”
The London Majors are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
