Official London Majors News Release

LONDON - The London Majors are pleased to announce the signing of 6-foot-4 outfielder Adam Filmon for the 2021 season.

The Winnipeg, Man., native joins the team after playing for Thompson River University in Kamloops B.C. for the past four years. A consistent contact hitter, he batted above .350 in the CCBC (Canadian College Baseball Conference) and had 17 RBIs in 27 games in 2019.

"I am extremely excited to be playing for Roop [Chanderdat] during the 2021 season and working on bringing a championship to London,” said Filmon. “I have heard nothing but great things about playing for the Majors organization, Roop and the fans!"

"Adam is a good young player that will help in the outfield and can play all three OF positions,” said Roop Chanderdat, Majors co-owner, manager and general manager. “He is a good contact hitter that has always hit for a high average. Adam is a mature young man that is of high character and will fit in well with our team."

The London Majors are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
