LONDON, Ont. - The London Majors are proud to announce the signing of Maidstone, Ontario native Skylar Janisse for the 2023 season.

Janisse, a right-handed pitcher, joins the club after pitching in the independent ranks for the Florance Y’Alls, Lake County Dockhounds and the Empire State Greys in 2022 while also making a start for the Intercounty Baseball League’s Kitchener Panthers. He had 30 strikeouts in 28 innings during the 2022 season. The 29-year-old was a 2011 New York Yankees draft pick and will be bringing his 6-foot-4, 215-pound frame to Labatt Park this season.

“Skylar is a great addition to our pitching staff,” said Roop Chanderdat, London Majors field manager and co-owner. “He has pro experience which will be a big asset, especially for our younger pitchers. Janisse is another big arm we will lean on to help us win games.”
