Official London Majors News Release

The London Majors are pleased to announce the signing of infielder Tyler Mosher, a middle infielder who shined at the junior level and is wrapping up a strong Division II collegiate career at Davenport University this spring.

A local product, from Dutton, Ont., Mosher played within the Great Lake Canadians program before heading south for school. He has since played his summer ball with the St. Thomas Tomcats, including last summer, where he was a major contributor for the junior squad.

At Davenport, Mosher enjoyed his best season in 2023 when he took over starting second base duties for the Panthers. In 49 games, he batted .278 with a very strong .424 on-base percentage. He scored 21 runs, drove in 23 and had a good walk (24) to strikeout (35) ratio.

“Tyler is a good young local ballplayer who will give us depth in the middle infield,” said Roop Chanderdat, the Majors’ GM and field manager. “He’s had good success in college and in the junior ranks. He’s good at the plate and finds a way to get on base.”

The 21-year-old is also a sound defensive player. Although he may best be suited for second base (all his starts last year in college came at the position), he can also play shortstop, making him more versatile on the infield.

“I’m really excited to be part of such a successful and historic Majors organization,” said Mosher. “Getting the chance to play in front of family and friends – in search of bringing the championship back to London – is something I’m looking forward to.”
