Official London Majors News Release

The London Majors have signed first baseman Daniel Perrier.

A native of Ottawa, Ont., the 6-foot-9 infielder joins the Majors after completing his schooling at Seneca College where he set the single-season home run record for the Sting with six. It’s interesting to note that two of those home runs came at Labatt Park, his new home stadium. Perrier also batted .357 and recorded 21 RBIs in 18 games.

The 265-pound first baseman has also spent time with the Cornwall River Rats, University of Ottawa and Capital City Reds U22.

“I’m really excited to play for London and to have the opportunity to play in front of a great fan base,” said Perrier. “I’m hoping to bring some excitement to Labatt Park this summer and to help the team defend their championship.”

Majors co-owner, GM and field boss Roop Chanderdat is excited to have Perrier on his roster.

“Daniel is a young player with size that has had a good Canadian collegiate career,” said Chanderdat. “He will be another of our young players we hope can develop and adapt quickly to the IBL game.”
