Official London Majors News Release
LONDON - The London Majors are happy to announce the signing of right-handed pitcher Dylan Brooks.
The Dorchester, Ont., native, started his IBL career with the Majors as a 17-year-old before getting drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 30th round in 2013.
He spent 2013 to 2015 in the Giants organization and registered 80 strikeouts over 73 1/3 innings and picked up three saves in four opportunities. In 2018, he rejoined the Majors and started seven games, posting a record of 4-2 with 51 strikeouts.
“Dylan is a big strong pitcher that has very good command,” said Roop Chanderdat, Majors’ co-owner, manager and general manager. “Dylan can be one of the top pitchers in the league and we are looking forward to having him be an integral part of our pitching staff.”
Brooks, 25, is happy to have the opportunity to toe the rubber for the Majors again.
“I am looking forward to rejoining the Majors and helping this team win,” he said. “This is a team that helped me get drafted when I was young and I have fond memories of pitching at Labatt Park.”
The London Majors are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
