TORONTO, Ontario – The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed right-handed pitcher Julian Tymochko (Etobicoke, Ont.).

Tymochko started the 2023 season in the Frontier League with four appearances with the Quebec Capitales before joining the Intercounty Baseball League’s Welland Jackfish. A mid-season trade brought Tymochko back to Toronto, where he pitched in 11 games and collected 10 strikeouts in 8 2/3 innings.

In 2022, Tymochko pitched for the Okotoks Dawgs of the Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) going 5-2. The previous season he pitched for the Edmonton Prospects of the WCBL.

Prior to that, he was a standout two-way player for McMaster University.

“We are looking forward to Julian rejoining our team and are excited to see him out on the mound for the 2024 season,” said Leafs GM Jeff Lounsbury.

“I am really excited to be back this summer and see all the familiar faces at the Pits!” stated Tymochko
