Official Toronto Maple Leafs News Release

TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs have re-signed 1B/OF Aidan McAskie.

The Toronto native is currently a sophomore at Chattanooga State University. Last season, the former Ontario Blue Jay hit .300. (33-110) with five doubles and six home runs while driving in 29 for the Maple Leafs in his first IBL season.

“Aidan had a great first season in the IBL and is off to a good start at school," said Maple Leafs general manager, Jeff Lounsbury. "We anticipate steady progress from him as he matures and learns the league's pitchers."
