Official Toronto Maple Leafs News Release
TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed right-hander Cesar Rosado.
The 26-year-old, Santo Domingo, D.R. native has spent six years in the Houston Astros system making it to double-A in 2021 with Corpus Christi. He has a minor league record of 20-26 with 359 strikeouts in 333 innings.
“We are excited to bring Cesar here to Toronto,” said Maple Leafs general manager Jeff Lounsbury. “He will slot into our rotation and will give us quality starts. Cesar is from the same hometown as Jose (Vinicio) and I think that familiarity will help make the transition easier for him, and the two of them will enjoy their time in Toronto even more.”
