Official Welland Jackfish News Release

WELLAND, ONT. - The Welland Jackfish have agreed to terms with outfielder Brandon Hupé for the upcoming 2025 season.

Hupé, 24, returns to The Pond following a successful rookie season in which he recorded a .243 average with 10 doubles, a triple and four home runs.

The Vancouver, B.C. native joined the Jackfish after four years at the University of British Columbia. In his last season with UBC, Hupé recorded a .315 average with 12 doubles, one triple, and nine home runs. He also spent summers with Nanaimo of the West Coast League before joining the Aigles de Trois-Rivières of the Frontier League in 2024.

The Jackfish return to The Pond on Saturday, May 17 as they take on the Barrie Baycats.
