WELLAND, Ont. - The Welland Jackfish have signed right-handed pitcher Julian Tymochko for the 2023 season.

The Toronto native joins the Jackfish following time with the Trois-Rivières Aigles of the Frontier League.

Before signing with the Aigles, Tymochko spent 2022 with the Okotoks Dawgs of the Western Canadian Baseball League where he recorded a 3.44 ERA with 36 strikeouts and 18 walks.

"We are excited to add a hard-throwing righty of Julian’s caliber to our staff," said Jackfish general manager Jason McKay. "No stranger to high-leverage innings, Tymochko will be called on to fill that role for the Jackfish."
