Intercounty Baseball League announces 2020 schedule

MISSISSAUGA - The Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) today released its 2020 schedule which begins on Sunday, May 3 as the Toronto Maple Leafs welcome the London Majors. The 2020 season will mark the IBL’s 102nd season.

Each team will again play a 36-game schedule. Weekends comprise a large majority of the schedule as 71% of the games will be played on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays (102 of the 144 games).

2020 Intercounty Baseball League Home Openers:

Barrie Baycats – Saturday, May 9 vs Guelph

Brantford Red Sox – Sunday, May 10 vs Barrie

Guelph Royals – Saturday, May 16 vs Brantford

Hamilton Cardinals – Friday, May 22 vs Toronto

Kitchener Panthers – Sunday, May 10 vs Welland

London Majors – Friday, May 15 vs Hamilton

Toronto Maple Leafs – Sunday, May 3 vs London

Welland Jackfish – Saturday, May 16 vs London

2020 Intercounty Baseball League Schedule Highlights:

May 16 - The Kitchener Panthers and defending champion Barrie Baycats meet for the first time in a re-match of last season’s final series that saw Barrie win four games to two.

July 1 – The London Majors will host the Toronto Maple Leafs on Canada Day at Labatt Park as Brantford will host Hamilton and Guelph will host Welland.

Aug 1 - The IBL’s 102nd season comes to an end with the close of the regular season with two games on the docket.
