Canadian in College baseball report for Jan. 30 to Feb. 05, 2017

Our goal is to provide weekly statistical summaries and highlight notable results of the players listed on the Canadian Baseball Network Canadians in College 2017 web page. It is an ambitious project and we are in ‘Spring Training’ with this new plaan.

We have started with players attending NCAA schools and we will follow with NAIA, then NJCAA schools. Each week we will be adding more players. Please stay tuned as our coverage expands.

This report covers 136 players attending 84 NCAA schools. During the period there were 90 games involving 44 teams played where one or both of the teams have Canadian players.

From the mound, six Canadian pitchers made seven appearances, two were starts. As a group, they threw 13 innings, striking out 11, earning two wins. At the plate, 13 Canadian batters had 209 at bats with 50 hits producing 34 RBIs.

Notable pitching performances
Jon Bauer had two appearances.
Kenton Schroter and Nicholas Stobbe had one win each.

Notable batting performances
David Glaude and Jordan Zazulak had five hits each.
Ryan Sattz had six RBIs.
David Glaude and Daniel Szpik had solid batting averages.
