Only four of the Blue Jays' eight teams are still in action and they went 1-3 with the Buffalo Bisons taking the only win.

Buffalo Bisons 8, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (NYY) 7

The Buffalo Bisons held their lead, beating the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders 8-7 on Friday.

Richard Urena had a huge game, going 2/3 with a home run, two walks, five RBI, a sac fly and a run. Andy Burns also hit a home run, going 1/4 with a walk and the solo shot. Santiago Espinal was 2/3 with two walks, a stolen base and a run while Socrates Brito was 2/6 with a triple, an RBI, a run but also four strikeouts. Patrick Kivelehan had the hat trick with three strikeouts but was 2/6 with a double. Roemon Fields was 2/5 and Anthony Alford was 0/3 but walked twice, was hit by a pitch and scored three times. Beau Taylor was 1/3 with two walks and an RBI and Forrest Wall was 1/5 with a run.

Nate Pearson got his first triple-A win but actually had his worst outing with the Bisons in his last start of the year, tossing five innings and giving up four runs on seven hits (including a home run) with three walks and five strikeouts. Zach Jackson struck out two and gave up a hit in two innings and Jackson McClelland allowed three runs on two hits and a walk with a home run allowed, striking out one in two innings to finish the game.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 4, Portland Sea Dogs (BOS) 5

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats opened up their final series of the season, getting beaten 5-4 by the Portland Sea Dogs.

Zach Logue tossed three innings, giving up two runs on four hits (including a home run) and one walk with three strikeouts before Adams Cuevas took over, allowing a run on two hits with a walk and three strikeouts in two innings. William Ouellette allowed three hits but didn't give up a run over two innings, striking out two and Vinny Nittoli allowed two runs on three hits (including a home run) with one strikeout in the eighth.

The Fisher Cats did hit three home runs, making the most of their five hits as Chad Spanberger (1/4, HR, RBI, R), Joshua Palacios (1/4, HR, RBI, R) and Riley Adams (1/4, HR, 2 RBI, R) each went yard. Nash Knight was 1/4 with a run and Logan Warmoth was 1/3 with a stolen base.

Lansing Lugnuts 5, West Michigan Whitecaps (DET) 6

The Lansing Lugnuts fell to the West Michigan Whitecaps, losing 6-5 in 10 innings.

Otto Lopez (Montreal, Que.) helped cement his bid for a batting title, going 3/3 with a double and a stolen base, pushing his average to .323 and he has an 11-point lead going into the final two games of the season. John Aiello also hit a double, going 1/5 with an RBI while Rafael Lantigua was 2/5 with a run. Gabriel Moreno was 1/4 with a walk and two RBI while Griffin Conine was 1/3 with a walk and a run and was hit by a pitch. Yorman Rodriguez was 1/5 and Tanner Kirwer (Sherwood Park, Alta.) was 1/4 with a run. L.J. Talley was 0/4 but drove in a run with a sac fly and scored a run.

Troy Watson started and was effective, going five innings with one run allowed on two hits and three walks, striking out five. Jose Espada threw a scoreless sixth, walking one and striking out two. Brody Rodning allowed a run on two hits with two strikeouts in 1 2/3 innings and Will McAffer (North Vancouver, BC) gave up two runs (one earned) on a hit, a walk, two hit batters but also struck out three in 1 1/3 innings. Marcus Reyes took the loss, allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits with a walk in the 10th.

Roster Notes: Fitz Stadler was placed on the 7-day IL while Hunter Steinmetz was assigned to Lansing from Dunedin.

Vancouver Canadians 5, Tri-City Dust Devils (SD) 8

The Vancouver Canadians lost again to the Tri-City Dust Devils as they scored seven unanswered runs over the sixth, seventh and eighth inning, falling 8-5.

Will Robertson had another strong game, hitting a home run for his second consecutive game, going 3/5 with four RBI and a run. Spencer Horwitz had two of the club's hit, going 2/4 with a double and two runs while Tanner Morris was 1/3 with two walks and a run. Philip Clarke was 1/5 with an RBI and a run.

Jared DiCesare had a strong start, going five innings and giving up just one run on a solo home run among four hits with four strikeouts. Gabriel Ponce allowed three runs on five hits with two walks and four strikeouts in two innings and Nicolas Medina was tagged with the loss, allowing four runs (three earned) on four hits and a walk in one inning. Gage Burland allowed two hits and struck out one in the ninth.
