Blue Jays from Away
With the Buffalo Bisons having their game postponed on Saturday, the remaining three Toronto minor league clubs went 1-2 with only the New Hampshire Fisher Cats putting one in the win column.
Buffalo Bisons, Norfolk Tides (BAL)
Postponed due to rain.
Roster Notes: Andrew Sopko was promoted to Buffalo from New Hampshire.
New Hampshire Fisher Cats 6, Binghamton Rumble Ponies (NYM) 4
Riley Adams had a big game, hitting his first double-A home run while Zach Logue rebounded with another strong start as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats beat the Binghamton Rumble Ponies 6-4.
Santiago Espinal had another great game, going 3/5 with a run but it was Riley Adams, going 3/5 with a home run, three RBI and a run, who stole the show. Chad Spanberger was 1/5 with an RBI and Nash Knight and Vinny Capra were both 1/3 with a walk with Capra driving in a run and hitting a double and both scored a run. Forrest Wall was 1/4 with a walk and a run and Alberto Mineo was 1/2 with a walk, an RBI, a run and was hit by a pitch.
Logue went six innings, striking out five and giving up just one run on six hits and a walk despite the no decision. Jonathan Cheshire allowed three runs in two innings, giving up four hits (including a home run) with one strikeout, getting the win (and a blown save). Danny Young pitched a scoreless ninth, walking one and hitting a batter but striking out three to earn the save.

Dunedin Blue Jays 3, Clearwater Threshers (PHI) 9
It was another rough day for the class-A Advanced Dunedin Blue Jays' pitching staff as they lost again to the Clearwater Threshers 9-3.
Justin Dillon started, going four innings and giving up three runs on three solo home runs among eight hits without walking anyone and striking out seven. Kyle Weatherly gave up two more runs on three hits and two walks in two innings to take the loss while Dany Jimenez allowed four runs on five hits (including a home run) with two strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings. Connor Law gave up three hits and walked one, allowing one of the two inherited runners from Jimenez to score but didn't give up any runs of his own in one inning. Brad Wilson inherited two runners from Law, striking out both batters he faced to strand them and finish the game.
Cullen Large had two of the Blue Jays' four hits including his second home run of the season, driving in just himself and scoring twice. Alejandro Kirk was 1/2 with two walks, an RBI and a run but also had two passed balls as the game's catcher. Ryan Noda hit a double, going 1/3 with a walk and Norberto Obeso walked twice.

Roster Notes: Chavez Young was activated from the temporarily inactive list and Hunter Steinmetz was sent to Lansing.
Lansing Lugnuts 2, Kane County Cougars (ARI) 8
While the low-A Lansing Lugnuts matched the Kane County Cougar with nine hits on Saturday, the Lugnuts scored just twice in an 8-2 loss.
Nick Podkul (2/3, 2B, BB, R) and Rafael Lantigua (2/4, CS) each had two hits while Jordan Groshans was 1/2 with a walk and a run but left the game after hitting a single in the sixth inning. Otto Lopez was 1/4 with a stolen base and Reggie Pruitt was 1/3 with a walk. Jake Brodt was 1/2 with a walk, two RBI and a sac fly and Mc Gregory Contreras was 1/4 with a double.
Fitz Stadler got the start, allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits and three walks with five strikeouts in four innings. Marcus Reyes came in with the bases loaded in the fifth and let all three runners score and allowed an unearned run of his own, walking one and striking out one in the inning. Cobi Johnson finished the game with three innings, giving up two runs on three hits and two walks with three strikeouts.
