With all eight minor league teams in action on Wednesday, the Blue Jays' minor league clubs went 3-5 despite getting big home runs from a couple of their youngest stars in Lansing.

Buffalo Bisons 3, Rochester Red Wings 0

The Buffalo Bisons (36-43) finally beat the Rochester Red Wings, getting some stellar pitching in a 3-0 shutout. Mike Bolsinger went eight shutout innings, allowing only four hits and striking out seven to pick up his third win. Glenn Sparkman earned his first save with a shutout ninth, despite allowing two hits.

Gregorio Petit and Shane Opitz each had a single and a double while Raffy Lopez was 1/2 with a walk and two runs.

Player of the Game: Mike Bolsinger

Roster Notes: The Blue Jays signed outfielder Michael Saunders to a minor league deal and assigned him to Buffalo.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 1, Portland Sea Dogs 5

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats lost yet again, scoring just one run and falling 5-1 to the Portland Sea Dogs. Five different players had hits including doubles from Richard Urena and Tim Lopes. Danny Jansen was 1/3 with a walk and Ryan McBroom drove in the club's only run.

Sean Reid-Foley gave up three solo home runs, allowing four runs on eight hits with six strikeouts and two walks over six innings. Alonzo Gonzalez followed, giving up another run in his inning and Danny Young finished with a scoreless eighth.

Player of the Game: None

Dunedin Blue Jays 1, Bradenton Marauders 4

The Dunedin Blue Jays couldn't get much offense going in a 4-1 loss to the Bradenton Marauders. Lane Thomas was 2/4.

Jordan Romano (Markham, Ont.) struck out eight over 4 2/3 innings but walked four, giving up two runs on three hits. Tayler Saucedo went 1 1/3 scoreless innings and Adonys Cardona gave up two more runs on two hits (including a home run) and two walks in one inning. Tom Robson (Ladner, B.C.) tossed a scoreless eighth.

Player of the Game: None

Lansing Lugnuts 6, Bowling Green Hot Rods 10

The Lansing Lugnuts had a huge day from their biggest prospects in a 10-6 loss to the Bowling Green Hot Rods. Bo Bichette was 3/5 with a double and a home run, while Vladimir Guerrero (Montreal, Que.) was 1/5 with a home run, blasting his back-to-back with Bichette. Mitch Nay was 2/5 while J.B. Woodman was 1/3 with a triple, two RBI and a walk.

Denis Diaz was shellacked, giving up nine runs on 12 hits (including two home runs) and two walks in just 2 1/3 innings. Andrew Deramo followed with 2 2/3 innings of scoreless ball, walking one, allowing two hits and striking out two. Geno Encina threw three scoreless innings, giving up a hit, walking two and striking out one and Nick Hartman allowed a run in the ninth despite striking out a pair.

Player of the Game: Bo Bichette

Vancouver Canadians 5, Everett AquaSox 7

The Vancouver Canadians scored single runs in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings but it wasn't enough to come back as they dropped the game 7-5 to the Everett AquaSox. Kacy Clemens was 2/4 with a home run and two RBI while Bryan Lizardo was 2/4 with a run.

Dalton Rodriguez was the starter and he was charged with all 7 runs in 10 hits and two walks with four strikeouts over five innings. Grayson Huffman went three scoreless innings, allowing two hits and a walk with three strikeouts.

Player of the Game: Kacy Clemens

Bluefield Blue Jays 6, Pulaski Yankees 10

The Bluefield Blue Jays continued their losing streak, dropping their game 10-6 to the Pulaski Yankees after getting out to an early lead. Ryan Noda was 2/4 with a triple, an RBI and two runs while Yorman Rodriguez was 2/4 with an RBI. Sterling Guzman was 2/4 with a double and an RBI. Ryan Gold was 2/3 with a double, an RBI and a run.

Josh Winckowski struck out a whopping nine batters, giving up just two solo home runs and two walks (to total two runs) in 4 2/3 innings. Mitch McKown walked three in 1 1/3 innings, also allowing two hits and giving up a run. Tyler Olander allowed three runs on four hits (including a home run) while striking out two in one inning and Jose Nova allowed four runs on two hits and a walk (including a home run) in the eighth.

Player of the Game: Ryan Noda, Yorman Rodriguez, Sterling Guzman and Ryan Gold

GCL Blue Jays 4, GCL Yankees West 2

The GCL Blue Jays picked up their second win of the season, beating the GCL Yankees West 4-2. Luis De Los Santos hit his first home run of the year, going 1/3 with two runs. Dominic Abbadessa was 2/5 with a double and an RBI and Hagen Danner drove in two runs with his first professional hit, going 1/3. Davis Schneider was 1/3 with a double, a walk and a run.

Felipe Castaneda started and went four innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on five hits and a walk with four strikeouts. Marcus Reyes went two innings, striking out four and giving up one hit while Emmanuel Reyes went 1 1/3 innings, allowing two hits and two walks but didn't give up a run. Adams Cuevas inherited the bases loaded and got out of the jam, tossing 1 2/3 innings and retiring all four batters he faced.

Player of the Game: Luis De Los Santos, Hagen Danner and Marcus Reyes

Roster Notes: Hagen Danner and Davis Schneider were assigned to the GCL Blue Jays.

DSL Blue Jays 5, DSL Reds 2

The DSL Blue Jays bounced back, beating the DSL Reds 5-2 after losing two in a row. Andres Martinez was 2/4 with a walk, an RBI and two runs while Yhon Perez was 2/5 with a double, two RBI and a run. Kenny Mauricio was 2/4 with a double and an RBI.

Rafael Monsion was strong in 5 2/3 innings of work. He struck out five, giving up just one unearned run on six hits and one walk. Elixon Caballero struck out four in 2 1/3 innings, allowing two hits and Brayan Mejia allowed a run on a hit and two walks in 1/3 of an inning before Nicolas Medina finished the final 2/3 of an inning to earn the save.
