The Blue Jays' minor league teams went 2-2 on Wednesday with several big games from young prospects.

Buffalo Bisons 5, Syracuse Mets (NYM) 4

In what could be his final game with the triple-A Buffalo Bisons, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (Montreal, Que.) had a strong game, hitting a home run, as the Bisons beet the Syracuse Mets 5-4.

Vlad, who went 2/5 with a home run, an RBI and two runs, wasn't the only Bison to have a big game. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. was 3/5 with a double, an RBI and a run and Cavan Biggio was 3/4 with a walk, three RBI on a three-run home run and a run. Patrick Cantwell and Roemon Fields had two singles apiece.

Sean Reid-Foley had another rough outing, going 4 2/3 innings and giving up four runs on four hits and five walks with seven strikeouts, running his pitch count to 95 before being lifted for Dusty Isaacs who stranded a pair of runners and struck out five in 2 1/3 innings of outstanding relief. Corey Copping allowed a walk and struck out one in the eighth and Derek Law got the save, giving up two hits in the ninth, striking out one.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 7, Trenton Thunder (NYY) 2

The double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats won their third game in a row against the Trenton Thunder, taking a 7-2 victory with strong performances from Chad Spanberger and Santiago Espinal while Zach Logue continues to have strong outings.

Espinal hit two doubles on his way to a 3/4 game, taking a walk, driving in two and scoring once while Spanberger was 2/4 with a double, a home run, two RBI and two runs. Vinny Capra had two hits, going 2/4 with an RBI and a run and Brock Lundquist was 2/3 with a double, a walk, an RBI and a run. Forrest Wall also hit a double, as did Gunnar Heidt and both added a walk.

Logue went six innings, giving up two runs on six hits (including a home run) and three walks with one strikeout. Jackson McClelland hit 99 mph on the radar gun and struck out four in two scoreless innings of relief, giving up a hit and a walk while Bryan Baker worked around three walks to pitch a scoreless ninth with one strikeout.

Dunedin Blue Jays 5, Daytona Tortugas (CIN) 6

The class-A Advanced Dunedin Blue Jays scored a run in the eighth to tie up the game with the Daytona Tortugas and went ahead with a run in the top of the 10th but the Tortugas added two in the bottom of the 10th to beat the Jays 6-5.

Logan Warmoth had one of his best days in A-ball, going 3/4 with a home run and two RBI while Ryan Noda hit his second home run of the year, going 1/4 with a walk and the solo blast. Norberto Obeso hit a double, going 1/4 while Cullen Large was 1/4 with an RBI.

Justin Dillon started, giving up six hits and two home runs with a walk to lead to four runs in five innings, striking out six. Kyle Weatherly provided two scoreless innings of relief, giving up a hit and striking out one while Matt Shannon was tagged for the loss, allowing two unearned runs in the 10th after two scoreless innings. He allowed a hit and a run and struck out two in 2 2/3 innings.

Lansing Lugnuts 8, South Bend Cubs (CHC) 10

The low-A Lansing Lugnuts capped a wild series with the South Bend Cubs, playing back-and-forth baseball before the Cubs scored five in the top of the sixth and the Lugnuts were only able to get three of those runs back, losing 10-8.

Jordan Groshans continued his dominance of the Midwest League, going 3/5 with a home run and two RBI, pushing his batting average to .387. Alejandro Kirk wasn't bad himself, hitting his third home run of the season, going 2/4 with a double, a walk, two RBI and two runs and is now hitting .350 with a 1.067 OPS (21 points above Groshans' 1.046 OPS). Reggie Pruitt was 2/2 with three walks, a double, an RBI and a run and a stolen base. Ryan Gold was 1/5 with a double and a run and Otto Lopez (Montreal, Que.) was 1/5 with an RBI. Hagen Danner and Dom Abbadessa were both 1/3 with a walk and a run. Mc Gregory Contreras left the game in the top of the second with an injured leg and D.J. Neal went 0/2 with a sac bunt and a sac fly in his place.

Sean Wymer started for the Lugnuts, giving up five runs on eight hits and two walks in just 3 2/3 innings, striking out two. Marcus Reyes allowed solid contact, giving up five runs (one earned) on six hits with two strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings. Mike Pascoe had one of his best outings, giving up only a hit with three strikeouts in two innings of relief and Sean Rackoski allowed a hit in the ninth.
