The Blue Jays got a sweep in a doubleheader from the Buffalo Bisons but none of the other clubs were able to pick up a win on Tuesday.
Buffalo Bisons 4, Pawtucket Red Sox (BOS) 3
The triple-A Buffalo Bisons got a big game from Lourdes Gurriel Jr. who homered in the first and singled home the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to beat the Pawtucket Red Sox 4-3.
Gurriel was 2/4 with the home run and three RBI, scoring once while Roemon Fields was 1/3 with a walk and a stolen base and Cavan Biggio was 1/2 with a double, a walk and a run. Richard Urena had the club's only other hit, going 1/3 Reese McGuire was 0/1 with a walk and a sac fly, driving in a run.
David Paulino had one of his best outings of the season and while he gave up three runs, they were all unearned with the Bisons making four errors behind him (Gurriel on a fielded ball, Andrew Guillotte, Roemon Fields and Paulino himself). Paulino allowed just four hits and three walks with three strikeouts. Derek Law got the win, allowing a hit and nothing more in the seventh.

Buffalo Bisons 4, Pawtucket Red Sox (BOS) 3
In Game 2 of the doubleheader, the Bisons got four runs in the third inning and held off the Pawtucket Red Sox who didn't score after the first to sweep the twin bill 4-3.
Gurriel was 2/4 again with a run and a double while Cavan Biggio had the big blow, going 1/3 with a three-run home run and two walks, stealing a base. Michael De La Cruz was 1/2 with a walk and an RBI and Richard Urena was 1/3 with a run. Andy Burns was 1/4 with a run.
Conor Fisk started, allowing all three Red Sox runs, giving up four hits (including a home run) with a walk and four strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings. Tayler Saucedo made his Triple-A debut, tossing 3 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing a hit and striking out one for the win. Javy Guerra got the save, pitching a scoreless seventh, giving up a hit.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 1, Trenton Thunder (NYY) 3
The double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats' offence continued to struggle as they only had four hits in a 3-1 loss to the Trenton Thunder.
Zach Logue had a solid start for the Fisher Cats, going six innings but giving up two home runs among six hits for three runs despite not walking anyone and striking out six. Willy Ortiz made his season debut, striking out two in two perfect innings.
The Fisher Cats had just four singles with hits from Forrest Wall (1/4, SB), Santiago Espinal (1/4, RBI), Nash Knight (1/3, BB) and Vinny Capra (1/4). Kevin Smith was 0/2 but walked twice and Ryan Hissey took a walk.

Dunedin Blue Jays 7, Daytona Tortugas (CIN) 8
The class-A Advanced Dunedin Blue Jays scored seven runs on 10 hits and got a solid five innings from Justin Dillon but he couldn't get out of the sixth and the Daytona Tortugas beat up the Blue Jays' bullpen to come away with an 8-7 win.
Samad Taylor led the charge with three hits, going 3/3 with a walk, a run, an RBI and three stolen bases. Cullen Large was 2/5 with a double and three RBI, scoring once and Cal Stevenson was 1/4 with a home run, two RBI, a walk and two runs. Kevin Vicuna was 1/3 with a walk and a run and Christian Williams, Norberto Obeso and Demi Ormioloye (Orleans, Ont.) were each 1/4 with a single.
Justin Dillon went 5 1/3 innings but was charged for three runs (two earned) after both of the runners he left for Emerson Jimenez scored. He allowed only four hits and one walk, striking out seven before he came out of the game. Jimenez allowed the two inherited runners to score plus four runs of his own, three earned, on three hits and a walk with one strikeouts in 2/3 of an inning. Brad Wilson came on with an inherited runner from Jimenez and let that runner score and one more unearned run giving up two hits with three strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings. Dany Jimenez allowed a hit and a walk, striking out two in the final 2/3 of an inning in the game.
