Blue Jays from Away
The Toronto Blue Jays affiliates played seven games on Saturday, winning three of them.
Buffalo Bisons 3, Rochester Red Wings (WAS) 7
The Buffalo Bisons (33-23) dropped their game that was started on July 9, 7-3 to the Rochester Red Wings.
Connor Overton started and allowed two solo home runs among three hits, striking out one in two innings. T.J. Zeuch picked him up when the game resumed, throwing five innings and giving up five runs (three earned) on six hits (one HR) with a walk and three strikeouts. Jeremy Beasley pitched the final inning.
Cullen Large hit a home run, going 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a run while Nash Knight was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Breyvic Valera was 1-for-3 with a double and a walk while Logan Warmoth was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run. Kevin Vicuna was 1-for-4 with an RBI.

In the second game of the doubleheader, the Buffalo Bisons (33-24) fell 4-3 to the Rochester Red Wings.
Casey Lawrence threw the first two innings, allowing three runs on three hits and a walk with two strikeouts. Kirby Snead struck out two in the third and Ryan Borucky provided 1 1/3 scoreless innings, walking one and striking out one. Joel Payamps took the loss, allowing a run on four hits (one HR) in 1 2/3 innings.
Breyvic Valera had a big game, going 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI while Dilson Herrera was 2-for-3. Kevin Smith was 1-for-4 and Logan Warmoth was 1-for-3 with a double. Juan Graterol was 1-for-2 with a double and a run and Nash Knight was 1-for-3 with a run.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 3, Binghamton Rumble Ponies (NYM) 6
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (24-32) were doubled up by the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, falling 6-3 on Saturday.
Back in the lineup was Jordan Groshans who was 2-for-4 with an RBI while LJ Talley was 1-for-3 with a triple, a walk and a run. Chris Bec was 1-for-4 with a run, stealing a base and Demi Orimoloye (Orleans, Ont.) was 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI, also stealing a base. Reggie Pruitt was 1-for-3 with a run.
Simeon Woods Richardson allowed six runs (four earned) despite striking out seven in five innings, giving up six hits (one HR) and two walks. Mike Ellenbest allowed a hit over his inning and struck out two while Brody Rodning walked one in his inning. Sean Rackoski gave up a hit in one inning of work to finish the game.

Vancouver Canadians 5, Spokane Indians (COL) 3
The Vancouver Canadians (29-30) inched back closer to the .500 mark with a 5-3 win over the Spokane Indians.
The DH Rafael Lantigua was 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run while Luis De Los Santos was 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI. Ryan Gold was 1-for-3 with a triple, a walk and a run while D.J. Neal was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run. Eric Rivera was 1-for-2 with two walks and a run. Tanner Morris was 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI, a run and a sac fly. Sebastian Espino (0-for-3), Ronny Brito (0-for-3) each has a sacrifice fly.
CJ Van Eyk struck out six in five innings but also allowed three runs on five hits (one HR) with two walks. Alex Nolan (Burlington, Ont.) tossed two scoreless innings, walking one and striking out one and Connor Law picked up the win, allowing just a hit and striking out three in two innings.

Dunedin Blue Jays 2, Tampa Tarpons 14
The Dunedin Blue Jays (22-35) were hammered 14-2 by the Tampa Tarpons in the regularly scheduled game on Saturday.
The club had four hits including two home runs, one each by Addison Barger (1-for-3, HR) and PK Morris (1-for-3, HR). Miguel Hiraldo was 1-for-3 as was Jose Ferrer.
Naswell Paulino got the start, allowing 10 runs (five earned) on just three hits (two HR) and a whopping eight walks with three strikeouts. Jefferson Herrera allowed another three runs on four hits (two HR) and two walks with one strikeout in three innings and Elixon Caballero allowed a run on one hit (one HR) with one strikeout in the seventh.

Dunedin Blue Jays 5, Tampa Tarpons 1
The Dunedin Blue Jays (23-35) pulled it together for the second half of the doubleheader, beating the Tampa Tarpons 5-1.
Zac Cook exploded for three hits, going 3-for-3 with a double, a triple and a single, driving in a run, scoring three times and stealing two bases. Miguel Hiraldo was 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, and two RBI, stealing a base. Orelvis Martinez was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI and Steward Berroa was 2-for-3 with an RBI, a run and two stolen bases. PK Morris walked twice, going 0-for-2 with a run and Addison was 0-for-2 with two walks.
Andrew Bash had a stellar start, allowing just two hits and five walks with six strikeouts over five innings, giving up just one run. Julian Valdez gave up two hits and a walk in two scoreless innings for the save, striking out three.

FCL Blue Jays 15, FCL Yankees 2
The FCL Blue Jays (4-4) picked up a resounding win, scoring 15 runs on just nine hits, taking advantage of three FCL Yankees errors to win 15-2.
DH Adriel Sotolongo was the offensive catalyst, going 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk, two RBI and three runs. Jhon Solarte was 2-for-6 with an RBI and a run, stealing a base while Emmanuel Sanchez was 1-for-5 with a double and two RBI, scoring once. Jose Rivas was 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a run while Peniel Brito was 1-for-5 with a double, a walk and two runs. Victor Mesia was 1-for-1 with two walks and two runs while Hugo Cardona was 0-for-1 with a walk, an RBI and a run. Glenn Santiago was 0-for-0 with two walks and two runs and Adrian Montero was 1-for-1 with an RBI.
The Blue Jays were just as strong on the mound. Cesar Ayala walked four in his two innings but didn't give up a hit and struck out one. Guillermo Villasmil gave up a solo home run and a walk, striking out one in the third. Brayan Mejia walked two and surrendered a hit in two innings, striking out one and Stephen Vargas walked one in his inning. Tony Rosario walked four, allowing a run in 2/3 of an inning and Edgar Castro stranded the bases loaded, struck out one and gave up a hit in 1 1/3 innings. Soenni Martinez finished it, walking two and striking out two in one inning.
