The Blue Jays minor league teams went 4-2 on Friday with a big, extra-inning win in Dunedin.
Buffalo Bisons 4, Lehigh Valley IronPigs (PHI) 3
The Buffalo Bisons (37-24) held off the Lehigh Valley IronPigs and won another close game, beating the Phillies' top farm team 4-3.
Kevin Smith had another good game, going 3-for-4 with a walk, a triple and two RBI. Breyvic Valera also had three hits, going 3-for-5 with a double and two runs. Christian Colon went deep, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, adding a double to the home run and scoring once while Riley Adams was 1-for-3 with a double. Logan Warmoth also hit a double, going 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base and Nash Knight was 1-for-4 with a run.
Zach Logue picked up the win, going five innings and giving up three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks, striking out two. Connor Overton allowed just a hit and struck out one in 2 1/3 innings. Curtis Taylor (Port Coquitlam, B.C.) finished the eighth, walking one in 2/3 of an inning and Hobie Harris got the save, striking out two in the ninth.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 5, Hartford Yard Goats (COL) 2
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (27-33) flipped the script on the Hartford Yard Goats, beating them 5-2 on Friday when the Yard Goats beat New Hampshire by the same score a day earlier.
Reilly Hovis went five strong innings, giving up just one unearned run on two hits with three walks and two strikeouts in five innings. Will McAffer (North Vancouver, B.C.) allowed a run on three hits in the sixth, striking out one and Graham Spraker took the win, giving up a hit and striking out two in the seventh. John Harris had a clean eighth and Kyle Johnston struck out two to pick up his first save in the ninth.
Playing second base, Kevin Vicuna had a big game for the Fisher Cats, going 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI, scoring once. Demi Orimoloye (Orleans, Ont.) had a big game himself, going 2-for-4 with a home run, an RBI and a run. Austin Martin had a pair of singles and a walk but made two errors at shortstop. Jordan Groshans, at third base, went 1-for-3 with two walks and two runs. Rodrigo Vigil had the club's other hit, going 1-for-4.

Vancouver Canadians 6, Hillsboro Hops (ARI) 12
The Vancouver Canadians (31-33) lost again to the Hillsboro Hops 12-6.
Ryan Gold was 3-for-5 for the Canadians, hitting a double and driving in two runs while Eric Rivera was 2-for-4 with a run and Tanner Morris was 2-for-3 with a double, two walks, an RBI and two runs. Luis De Los Santos was 1-for-5 with a double and a run and Sebastian Espino was 1-for-5 with a triple, an RBI and a run. Davis Schneider was 1-for-2 with a walk, an RBI and a sac fly.
Starter CJ Van Eyk allowed eight runs (seven earned) on nine hits (one HR) with a walk and six strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings and Sean Mellen allowed two runs on three hits with three strikeouts in 1 2/3 innings. Cobi Johnson gave up an unearned run on two hits with three strikeouts in two innings and Parker Caracci allowed a run on a hit and a walk with a strikeout in the eighth.

Dunedin Blue Jays 15, Clearwater Threshers (PHI) 10
With five runs in the top of the 10th inning, the Dunedin Blue Jays (26-37) wound up with a 15-10 victory over the Clearwater Threshers.
Shortstop Orelvis Martinez had a huge game, going 4-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, two walks, three RBI and two runs for the Jays. Dasan Brown (Oakville, Ont.) was 2-for-5 with a double, a walk, an RBI, three runs and a stolen base while P.K. Morris was 2-for-6 with a walk and three RBI. Mack Mueller was 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, an RBI, a stolen base and two runs while Steward Berroa was 1-for-4 with a home run, two walks, three RBI, three runs and four stolen bases. Addison Barger was 1-for-6 with an RBI and a run while Zach Britton was 1-for-5 with a walk and a run.
Alejandro Melean started and gave up six runs on seven hits (two HR) and two walks, striking out four in five innings while Elixon Caballero allowed three runs on three hits (two HR) and three walks in 1 2/3 innings. Julian Valdez allowed a run on a hit (one HR) and struck out one in 1 1/3 innings and Gabriel Ponce walked three but struck out three and didn't give up any runs in two innings for the win.

FCL Blue Jays 12, FCL Yankees 7
The FCL Blue Jays (7-6) got their offence going and beat the FCL Yankees 12-7.
Second baseman Jose Rivas had a big game, going 2-for-2 with three walks, driving in a run and scoring three times. Darlin Guzman hit a home run, going 1-for-2 with two RBI while Riner Nunez was 1-for-2 with a double, an RBI and a run. Adriel Sotolongo was 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run and Victor Mesia was 1-for-2 with a walk and two runs. Jhon Solarte was 1-for-2 with two walks, a run and two stolen bases and Rikelvin De Castro was 1-for-3 with two walks and two RBI.
Colton Laws, on a rehab assignment made his first appearance in a regular season minor league game since 2018 and allowed a hit in his inning of work. Cesar Ayala struck out seven in three innings, but also gave up four runs on five hits (two HRs) over three innings while Kelvin Perez gave up a solo home run and walk for one run in two innings, striking out to. Guillermo Villasmil struck out one in the seventh while Soenni Martinez allowed two runs on two hits and a walk with three strikeouts in the eight. Jeury Hiciano walked on in the ninth to finish it off.

DSL Blue Jays 6, DSL Reds 12
The DSL Blue Jays (2-2) had nine hits and scored six runs and it still wasn't enough as they lost the DSL Reds 12-6.
DH Victor Arias had a huge game for the Blue Jays, going 2-for-4 with two home runs, a walk, three RBI and two runs. Jean Arnaez was -for-/2 with a run and Luis Garcia was 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run. Francisco Fajardo was 1-for-5 and Jonathan Peguero was 1-for-1 with a walk and Francisco Veracierto was 1-for-4 with an RBI.
Eliander Alcalde went three innings and gave up four runs on two hits (one HR), a walk and a hit batter, striking out five. Pedro Acosta also allowed four runs on five hits with a walk and a strikeout in two innings. Angel Santana also allowed four runs, giving up two hits and three walks in two innings. Francis Mercedes walked one and struck out one in the final inning.
