The Toronto Blue Jays minor league teams went 1-4 on Saturday as Orelvis Martinez led the Dunedin Blue Jays to the minor league affiliates' only win.
Buffalo Bisons 2, Lehigh Valley IronPigs (PHI) 12
The Buffalo Bisons (37-25) got hit hard by the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, losing 12-2.
Casey Lawrence made the start and gave up four runs on 2 1/3 innings, allowing five hits (one HR) and taking the loss. Travis Bergen gave up another three runs on three hits with a walk over 2/3 of an inning. Dany Jimenez surrendered a run on a hit and three walks, striking out three in one inning while T.J. Zeuch allowed a run on two hits (one HR) with one strikeout in one inning. Hobie Harris gave up three runs on three hits with two walks and one strikeout in two innings while Tyler Chatwood walked two and gave up a hit with a strikeout in 2/3 of an inning and John Axford (Port Dover, Ont.) stranded the bases loaded, walking one and striking out two in the final 1 1/3 innings.
Kevin Smith was 2-for-5 for the Bisons and Alejandro Kirk was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Christian Colon was 1-for-5 with a run while Tyler White was 1-for-4 with a home run and an RBI. Nash Knight was 1-for-3 with a walk and Riley Adams was 1-for-4.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 5, Hartford Yard Goats (COL) 7
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (27-34) went to 10 innings with the Hartford Yard Goats, losing 7-5.
Johnny Barbato was on the mound to start, allowing four runs on four hits (one HR) with two walks and five strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings. Emerson Jimenez allowed a hit and struck out three over 1 2/3 innings. Fitz Stadler struck out five and walked one over two innings and Mike Ellenbest allowed three runs (two earned), giving up a home run with two runners on in 1/3 of an inning to take the loss.
Right fielder Demi Orimoloye (Orleans, Ont.) hit his second home run in as many games, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and two runs while Tanner Kirwer (Sherwood Park, Alta.) was 2-for-5 with a stolen base. Vinny Capra was 2-for-4 with a triple and a run while Kevin Vicuna was 2-for-4 with a double and a run and Chris Bec was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Samad Taylor was 1-for-3 with an RBI and Chavez Young was 1-for-5 with a triple and a run. Otto Lopez (Montreal, Que.) was 1-for-5 with an RBI.

Vancouver Canadians 3, Hillsboro Hops (ARI) 4
The Vancouver Canadians (31-34) couldn't hold on to a narrow lead, allowing two runs to the Hillsboro Hops in the bottom of the eighth, losing 4-3.
Tanner Morris was 2-for-4 for the Canadians and Philip Clarke was 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run. Eric Rivera was 1-for-4 with an RBI and D.J. Neal was 1-for-4 while Ryan Gold was 1-for-4. Luis De Los Santos was 1-for-4 with a run and Rafael Lantigua was 0-for-3 with two walks, a stolen base and a run.
On the mound was Adam Kloffenstein went 5 2/3 innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on two hits (one HR) with three walks and six strikeouts. Brandon Eisert gave up a hit in 1 1/3 innings, striking out three and Alex Nolan (Burlington, Ont.) surrendered two runs on two hits (one HR) with two strikeouts in one inning.

Dunedin Blue Jays 17, Clearwater Threshers (PHI) 6
The Dunedin Blue Jays (27-37) were led by Orelvis Martinez who bashed three home runs, leading a high-powered Dunedin offence to a 17-6 win over the Clearwater Threshers.
Shortstop Orelvis Martinez was 4-for-5 on Friday and then went 4-for-6 on Saturday with three home runs and nine RBI, scoring four times. Miguel Hiraldo was 3-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI, scoring three times and stealing a base. Steward Berroa was 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run. Hugo Cardona was 2-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and a run. P.K. Morris was 1-for-3 with a double, two walks, two RBI and a run and Dasan Brown (Oakville, Ont.) was 1-for-6 with a home run, an RBI and two runs. Jose Ferrer was 1-for-4 with an RBI and a walk. Addison Barger walked three times and went 0-for-3.
Naswell Paulino opened with a scoreless inning, striking out one. Andrew Bash allowed five runs (four earned) on seven hits (one HR) with three walks and five strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings. Rafael Monsion walked two and gave up a hit in 1 2/3 innings while Jefferson Herrera allowed a run in two innings, giving up three hits with a walk and a strikeout.

DSL Blue Jays 4, DSL Reds 10
The DSL Blue Jays (2-3) outhit the DSL Padres but still lost 10-4.
Shortstop Manuel Beltre went 3-for-4 with a walk to lead the hitters while Luis Garcia had a pair of hits, going 2-for-5 with an RBI. Jonathan Peguero had a pair of hits including a double, going 2-for-2 with a run. Yhoangel Aponte also had a double, going 1-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and a run. Endri Garcia was 1-for-4 and Cristian Feliz was 1-for-4 with a walk and an RBI.
Johan Simon allowed four runs in two innings, giving two hits and four walks, striking out two. Sergio Caruci allowed a run on one hit with four strikeouts in four innings while Jean Lopez gave up four runs on four hits (one HR) with two strikeouts in the seventh inning and Gabriel Ochoa allowed a run on a hit and a walk with three strikeouts in two innings.
