The Blue Jays' minor league affiliates were 3-1 on Wednesday, getting solid wins across the board and some very good pitching performances.
Buffalo Bisons 4, Worcester Red Sox 1
It was Alek Manoah Day for the Buffalo Bisons (10-4) who rode the big righty's strong start and rode over the Worcester Red Sox 4-1.
Manoah picked up his third win of the season, going six innings and giving up just one run on a solo home run in the second among four hits and just one walk while striking out 10, needing 94 pitches (64 strikes). Curtis Taylor (Port Coquitlam, B.C.) provided a scoreless seventh, walking one and striking out one while Kirby Snead struck out two in the eighth. Hobie Harris allowed two hits but struck out two and shut the Red Sox down for his third save.
Going deep for the Bisons was catcher Juan Graterol who was 2-for-3 with a walk, two RBI and a run. Cullen Large was 1-for-4 with a double and a run while Christian Colon was 1-for-3 with an RBI but was picked off and caught stealing. Riley Adams was 1-for-2 with two walks and an RBI and Dilson Herrera was 1-for-3.

Roster Notes: Casey Lawrence was signed out of the independent leagues and assigned to Buffalo and James Dykstra was sent back down to New Hampshire.
New Hampshire Fisher Cats 2, Portland Sea Dogs (BOS) 3
In a low-scoring affair, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (5-9) couldn't get that one more run to tie up the game, losing 3-2 to the Portland Sea Dogs.
Starting for the Fisher Cats was Kyle Johnston and he had another strong outing, bringing his ERA down to 2.03 with 5 1/3 innings of four-hit, two-walk ball, striking out three and not giving up a run. Brody Rodning took the loss, giving up two runs on two hits with two walks and one strikeout in 1 1/3 innings while Andrew McInvale struck out four in 2 1/3 innings but gave up a run on two hits (one HR).
Second baseman Otto Lopez (Montreal, Que.) continued his hitting streak (now at 12 games), going 1-for-4 with a double while Kevin Vicuna was 2-for-4 with an RBI. LJ Talley was 1-for-4 with a double and a run and Chavez Young was 1-for-4 with a double. Chris Bec was 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI.

Vancouver Canadians 6, Hillsboro Hops (ARI) 1
The Vancouver Canadians (10-4) reached double-digit wins with a solid 6-1 win over the Hillsboro Hops.
Righty Troy Miller went five solid innings, allowing only one run on two hits despite walking five batters, striking out four in his outing. Lazaro Estrada allowed a hit and a walk in two innings, striking out two and Justin Maese kept his strong season going, striking out three and allowing a hit in two innings.
Alberta-born Tanner Kirwer (Sherwood Park, Alta.) led off the game with a home run and followed up with a couple of walks, going 1-for-3 with the pair of walks, two RBI and two runs. Cameron Eden also hit a home run, going 1-for-3 with a walk, two RBI, a run and a stolen base. Phil Clarke was 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and a run while DJ Neal was 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run. Luis De Los Santos was 1-for-3 with a run and Spencer Horwitz was 1-for-2 with a double and two walks.

Dunedin Blue Jays 5, Clearwater Threshers (PHI) 1
The Dunedin Blue Jays (4-10) got a rare strong pitching performance and beat the Clearwater Threshers 5-1.
Starter Jol Concepcion was outstanding as he gave up just three hits and a walk with three strikeouts over six innings. Thomas Ruwe took over and threw a perfect seventh, striking out two. Jiorgeny Casimir was charged with the Threshers' only run, walking three and giving up a hit in 2/3 of an inning, leaving the bases loaded for Gabriel Ponce, who shut down the threat and finished the ninth, striking out one in 1 1/3 innings.
Shortstop Leonardo Jimenez increased his batting average over 40 points by going 2-for-5 with a double while PK Morris was 2-for-3 with a walk and a double, driving in a run and scoring one. Jose Rivas was 1-for-5 with an RBI and Addison Barger was 1-for-4 with a triple, an RBI and a run but also made an error. Ryan SLoniger was 1-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run and Jhon Solarte also hit a double, going 1-for-3 with an RBI. Steward Berroa was 0-for-2 but walked twice, stole a base, scored a run, had an outfield assist but was also caught stealing. Mack Mueller was also on base twice, going 0/3 but walking twice and scoring a run.
