The Blue Jays' minor league clubs reversed their fortunes from Wednesday, when they went 1-3 by going 3-1 on Thursday, getting wins from all of the affiliates except for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats who continue to scuffle.

Buffalo Bisons 4, Syracuse Chiefs 3

A strong outing from righty Luis Santos and some timely hitting gave the Buffalo Bisons their 21st win of the season, 4-3 against the Syracuse Chiefs. Santos threw five scoreless innings, allowing just four hits and two walks while striking out six. Jeff Beliveau allowed a solo home run in two innings and Matt Dermody gave up two more runs (one earned), blowing a save but ultimately earning the win. Chris Smith got his second save of the year, giving up a hit and striking out one in the ninth.

Jason Leblebijian drove in two runs in the bottom of the first inning with a triple while Rowdy Tellez was 2/4 with a run and Roemon Fields was 2/4 with a run, an RBI and was caught stealing. Jarrod Saltalamacchia was 1/1 with three walks and a run.

Roster Notes: The Blue Jays selected the contract of Dwight Smith, Jr. and promoted him to Toronto.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 2, Trenton Thunder 9

Perhaps the New Hampshire Fisher Cats should have stayed in bed today as the club was drubbed by the Trenton Thunder in a 9-2 loss that got under way at 11:45 a.m. Starter Jon Harris had a particularly rough day, giving up three home runs and seven runs on nine hits and two walks in 4 2/3 innings. Andrew Case (Saint John, N.B.) stranded the runner he inherited from Harris and gave up just a hit in 1 1/3 innings. Kender Villegas contributed two scoreless innings, allowing just a hit and striking out two while Tim Mayza gave up two runs on a two-run blast in the ninth inning.

Ryan McBroom accounted for all of the Fisher Cats’ scoring, going 1/4 with a two-run home run in the sixth inning, bringing home Jonathan Davis who was 1/3. Michael De La Cruz, however, was 3/4 in his Double-A debut.

Dunedin Blue Jays 7, Charlotte Stone Crabs 1

The Dunedin Blue Jays brought more than enough lumber to cruise to a 7-1 win over the Charlotte Stone Crabs on Thursday night. Troy Tulowitzki was back in action and had a big day for the Dunedin Blue Jays, going 2/3 with a walk, and an RBI before making way for Kevin Vicuna. Andrew Guillotte was also 2/3 with a walk, two runs and an RBI while Mike Reeves (Peterborough, Ont.) was 2/4 with a run. Josh Almonte scored twice after getting a single and a walk and Cavan Biggio was 0/2 but walked twice, drove in a run and scored once.

Starter Ryan Borucki picked up his first win of the season, throwing 74 pitches. He went 5 1/3 innings, allowing one run on six hits without walking anyone and struck out five. Jared Carkuff provided 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief and Adonys Cardona struck out two on his way to a run-free eighth. Ryan Cook finished the game, walking one and striking out one in the ninth.

Lansing Lugnuts 5, South Bend Cubs 1

The Lansing Lugnuts held a slim lead throughout most of their series-opening game with the South Bend Cubs but scored three runs over the final two frames to make it an emphatic 5-1 win for the franchise's 1,500th win. The Lugnuts had nine hits on Thursday, getting a single and a double from Jake Thomas, a pair of singles, a steal of home and two runs from Ryan Hissey and two singles, a sac fly, two RBI and two stolen bases from Edward Olivares. Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. (Montreal, Que.) hit a double but Cubs' pitchers racked up the strikeouts with Jake Thomas and Christian Williams striking out twice and J.B. Woodman and Bradley Jones going down on strikes three times each.

Patrick Murphy had one of his best outings of the season, giving up just one run on three hits with five strikeouts over seven innings. Kirby Snead threw 2/3 of an inning, allowing a hit and a walk with two strikeouts while Jackson McClelland stranded Snead's two runners, walking one but nailing down his seventh save of the year.

Roster Notes: Justin Maese was placed on the temporarily inactive list and Chris Hall was assigned to Lansing from extended spring training.
