In six games in the Toronto Blue Jays' minor league system, the clubs went 3-3 while Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (Montreal, Que.) and Jesus Navarro won minor league Player of the Week awards in their respective leagues.

Buffalo Bisons 8, Charlotte Knights 7

The triple-A Buffalo Bisons held off the Charlotte Knights to win 8-7 on Monday. Billy McKinney was 2/4 with a triple, a home run, a walk and three RBI in the win while Reese McGuire was 2/4 with a double, an RBI and two runs. Tim Lopes (2/4, RBI) and Jonathan Davis (2/5, RBI, R) each had two hits.

Jacob Waguespack went five innings, giving up five runs on four hits (including a home run) and three walks with three strikeouts. Conor Fisk allowed two solo home runs over two innings with two strikeouts and Justin Shafer picke up his 14th save with two innings of scoreless ball, allowing a hit and a walk and striking out one.

Roster Notes: Sean Reid-Foley had his contract selected by the Blue Jays and Danny Barnes was optioned to Buffalo. Gift Ngoepe was released and Darnell Sweeney was activated off the temporarily inactive list.

Dunedin Blue Jays 4, Jupiter Hammerheads 5

The class-A Advanced Dunedin Blue Jays had a 4-1 lead after five innings but the Jupiter Hammerheads chipped away and ultimately beat the D-Jays 5-4. The Blue Jays had just three hits with Ivan Castillo getting two, going 2/3 with a walk and two RBI. Joshua Palacios also drove in a run, going 0/2 with two walks and a run. Kacy Clemens had the club's third hit, going 1/4 with a run.

Zach Logue struck out 10 in six innings, allowing just two runs on five hits and a walk. Ty Tice took the loss, giving up three runs (two earned) on five hits with one strikeout in 1 1/3 innings. Nick Hartman threw a scoreless inning, striking out one and Jake Fishman struck out one in 2/3 of an inning.

Lansing Lugnuts 6, Bowling Green Hot Rods 12

The score was 12-1 for the Bowling Green Hot Rods after five innings and the low-A Lansing Lugnuts did their best to come back but, in the end, an 11-run deficit was too much to overcome as the Lugnuts lost 12-6. Matt Gunter gave up eight runs (five earned) on seven hits and a walk with two strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings. Orlando Pascual was charged with four runs on four hits (including two home runs) and two walks with one strikeout in just one inning of work. Dalton Rodriguez shut the door, however, tossing 3 1/3 innings of one-hit ball, striking out four and walking one and Brayden Bouchey (White Rock, B.C.) walked one in a scoreless ninth.

Chavez Young was 3/5 with a double and two RBI, scoring once while Brandon Grudzielanek was 3/3 with a double, two RBI and a sac fly. Vinny Capra (2/5, 2 R), Norberto Obeso (2/5, 2B, RBI) and Ryan Gold (2/4, 2B, RBI) each had a pair of hits and Ryan Noda was on twice with a single and a walk, scoring twice.

Vancouver Canadians 3, Salem-Keizer Volcanoes 1

The class-A Short-Season Vancouver Canadians left their scoring for the 10th inning, defeating the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes 3-1 in 10. Christopher Bec was 2/4 with a double and a run and Nick Podkul (1/4, Jesus Severino (1/4, R), Mc Gregory Contreras (1/4, RBI) and Brandon Polizzi (1/2) each had a single.

Josh Winckowski had an outstanding start, striking out nine in 6 1/3 innings, giving up just five hits and two walks. Justin Watts went 2 1/3 scoreless frames, walking one and striking out three before Will McAffer (North Vancouver, B.C.) picked up the win, allowing an unearned run on a hit and two walks in 1 1/3 innings.

Bluefield Blue Jays 9, Kingsport Mets 7

Two late runs for the rookie-class Bluefield Blue Jays gave them some insurance that allowed them to finish with a 9-7 win over the Kingsport Mets. Claudio Galva gave up two home runs and four runs on six hits and two walks but struck out five over five innings before Grant Townsend allowed two runs on two hits with two walks in 2/3 of an inning. Nicolas Medina took over and closed the door on Kingsport, stranding a runner and walking one with two strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings. Andy McGuire allowed a run on a walk with one strikeout in 1 1/3 innings and Brad Wilson picked up the save, allowing McGuire's runner to score but nothing else, surrendering a hit and a walk in 2/3 of an inning.

Hagen Danner pushed his batting average to .324 with a 3/4 game that had him hitting a double, taking a walk, driving in a run and scoring three times. Alejandro Kirk was 2/4 with a walk and a double and Cal Stevenson was 2/5 with an RBI and a run.

Player of the Game: Hagen Danner

GCL Blue Jays 4, GCL Yankees West 6

Addison Barger hit his third home run of the season but it wasn't enough as the GCL Blue Jays lost 6-4 to the GCL Yankees West. Barger was 3/4 with two doubles, a home run, two RBI and two runs and the club got singles from Warnel Valdez, Miguel Hiraldo (making his GCL debut), Jordan Groshans and Adrian Ramos. Ramos stole a base and was 1/4 with a walk and a run) and Steward Berroa was 1/2 with three walks, an RBI and a stolen base. Hiraldo stole two bases.

Shawn Morimando went three innings, striking out six and giving up two hits and a walk before Francisco Rios threw a scoreless fourth. Emanuel Vizcaino took the loss, allowing all six Yankees runs (five earned) on four hits and four walks with two strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings. Meliton Reyes struck out two in 1 1/3 innings and Gage Burland struck out a pair in the ninth.
