The Blue Jays went 3-2 overall on Thursday with wins coming from Buffalo, Dunedin and the DSL Jays.

Buffalo Bisons 9, Toledo Mud Hens 5

The triple-A Buffalo Bisons got a big day from Danny Jansen who drove in five runs on his mom's birthday in a 9-5 win over the Toledo Mud Hens. Jansen was 2-for-5 with a double and a home run on the day. Four other Bisons had two-hit games, with Roemon Fields (2-for-3, 2B, 2 BB, 2 R, SB), Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (2-for-4, 2 R, 2 RBI, SB), Tim Lopes (2-for-4, RBI, R) and Ian Parmley (2-for-4, R) all contributing. Jason Leblebijian was 1-for-2 with three walks and a run.

Deck McGuire got the win, going six innings and allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits and three walks while striking out seven. Jake Petricka allowed a run on two hits (including a home run) with two strikeouts over two innings and Justin Shafer threw the ninth, striking out one.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 4, Akron RubberDucks 7

The double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats lost more than their game with the Akron RubberDucks (by a 7-4 score) when Vladimir Guerrero went on the 7-day DL to allow him to recover from an ankle injury. The club got off to a slow start, eventually scoring four runs but they only had three hits including a solo home run from Harold Ramirez who was 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs. Gunnar Heidt was 1-for-3, as was Connor Panas (Toronto, Ont.) who drove in a run while Bo Bichette was 0-for-3 with a walk and a run, stealing a base. Cavan Biggio was 1-for-4 with a walk.

Jordan Romano (Markham, Ont.) allowed all seven Akron runs (six earned) on five hits (including two home runs) and three hits with four strikeouts to take his first loss of the season. Brayden Bouchey (Vancouver, B.C.) provided two scoreless innings, allowing a hit and Travis Bergen gave up a hit in the ninth.

Dunedin Blue Jays 9, Charlotte Stone Crabs 3

The class-A Advanced Dunedin Blue Jays have certainly enjoyed their visit to Charlotte as they defeated the Stone Crabs by a 9-3 score. Kevin Smith broke out in a big way, going 4-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and two runs, helping the club to victory. Nash Knight was 3-for-4 with a double, a walk and four RBI and Riley Adams was 2-for-5 with a double. Joshua Palacios was 1-for-4 with two walks, an RBI and a run and both D.J. Davis and John La Prise were 1-for-4 with a walk and a run.

Patrick Murphy was outstanding on the mound, going six innings and giving up only three hits and a walk with three strikeouts. Juliandry HIguera allowed two runs on three hits and a walk with two strikeouts over two innings and Jackson McClelland allowed a solo home run but struck out two in the ninth.

Lansing Lugnuts 2, Bowling Green Hot Rods 4

The low-A Lansing Lugnuts went for the sweep of the Bowling Green Hot Rods but fell short, losing 4-2 despite more than doubling the number of hits the Hot Rods had.

Three of the Lugnuts' nine hits came off the bat of Ryan Noda who was 3-for-4 with two solo home runs, accounting for all of the Lugnuts' scoring. Chavez Young was 1-for-2 with two walks and a stolen base (but was also caught stealing) and Yeltsin Gudino was on base twice with a single and a walk.

Turner Larkins went five innings, giving up all four Hot Rods runs (three earned) on three hits (including a home run) and a walk, striking out five. Emerson Jimenez allowed just a hit in two innings, striking out three and Matt Shannon walked one in the eighth.

DSL Blue Jays 7, DSL White Sox 6

The DSL Blue Jays were stymied through eight innings but roared back in the ninth, scoring five runs in the bottom half to beat the DSL White Sox 7-6 in a walk-off victory. Jose Zepeda was 2-for-4 with a double and a run while Rainer Nunez was 2-for-5 with an RBI. Miguel Hiraldo struck out three times but also hit a triple, driving in two runs. Jhon Solarte was on base three times, going 1-for-3 with two walks, a run and a stolen base. Alonso Concepcion was 1-for-4 with a walk and two RBI.

Santos Moreno had a strong start, throwing 3 2/3 innings and giving up just one run on five hits with six strikeouts. Brayan Mejia allowed an unearned run on two hits, throwing 1 1/3 innings and Jose Brito gave up four runs (two earned) on three hits and two walks in one inning. Moises De La Cruz finished the game, giving up one hit and striking out one in three innings.
