With the Lansing Lugnuts playing a double header and three teams with the night off, the Blue Jays' affiliates had a 2-4 record on Monday night.

Buffalo Bisons

New Hampshire Fisher Cats

Roster Notes: Yennsy Diaz was sent back to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.

Dunedin Blue Jays 6, Clearwater Threshers (PHI) 2

Maximo Castillo picked up his eighth win with another strong start as the Dunedin Blue Jays scored early and beat the Clearwater Threshers 6-2.

Castillo tossed seven innings of one-run ball, allowing just a solo home run among five hits without walking anyone and striking out six. Kyle Weatherly also allowed a solo home run (among two hits) with two strikeouts in the final two innings.

Kacy Clemens hit his seventh home run of the year, going 2/2 with the blast, two walks, two RBI and two runs. Kevin Vicuna was 2/4 with a double, two RBI and a run while Norberto Obeso also had two hits, going 2/4 with a triple, an RBI and a run. Samad Taylor was 2/2 with a walk, a double and a stolen base. Demi Orimoloye (Orleans, Ont.) was 2/3 with a double, two runs, a hit by pitch and a stolen base. Alejandro Kirk (1/4) and Chavez Young (1/5) each had a hit.

Lansing Lugnuts 1, Bowling Green Hot Rods (TB) 3

In Game 1 of their doubleheader with the Bowling Green Hot Rods, the Lansing Lugnuts outhit their opponent but could only score one run to fall 3-1.

Otto Lopez (Montreal, Que.) and D.J. Neal had two hits apiece with Neal scoring a run and Hunter Steinmetz was 1/2 with an RBI on a sac fly and was caught stealing. Gabriel Moreno, Griffin Conine and Rafael Lantigua were each 1/3.

Troy Watson pitched the full game, tossing six innings and giving up three runs on six hits (including a home run) with two walks and four strikeouts.

Lansing Lugnuts 6, Bowling Green Hot Rods (TB) 3

The Lugnuts squared things up in the second game of the doubleheader, taking a 6-3 win with three runs in the top of the eighth and holding the Bowling Green Hot Rods in the bottom half.

Reggie Pruitt had a pair of hits, going 2/3 with a walk, and a bunt single in the eighth that led to him scoring the final the run as he stole base in the eighth (his second of the game, giving him 40 on the season) and the second of his two runs in the game. Ryan Gold was 1/4 with a home run and two RBI, scoring twice while Otto Lopez (Montreal, Que.) also had a hit to lead of the eighth and he was 1/4 with an RBI and a run. Rafael Lantigua (1/4), Tanner Kirwer (Sherwood Park, Alta.) (1/3) and D.J. Neal (1/3, R) each had a hit.

Cobi Johnson had a stellar start, tossing five no-hit innings, walking three and striking out seven. Fitz Stadler allowed three runs (two earned) on two hits (including a home run) and two walks with a stirkeout in one inning while Cre Finfrock got the win, tossing two one-hit innings, striking out three.

Bluefield Blue Jays 3, Greeneville Reds (CIN) 4

The Bluefield Blue Jays fell 4-3 to the Greeneville Reds to open their series.

Patrick Morris (2/5, R) and Miguel Hiraldo (2/3, 2B, BB, RBI, R) had two hits each while Ryan Slongier (1/4, 2B, R), Joseph Reyes (1/2, 2B, 2 BB, RBI, SB) and D.J. Daniels (1/4, RBI) all hit a double.

Jol Concepcion got the start, striking out two in two perfect innings before Juan Acosta allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits that included two home runs, with a walk and two strikeouts in three innings. Aldo Ovando took the loss, giving up just one run on three hits with three strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings before Meliton Reyes finished the game, retiring both batters he faced.

Roster Notes: Eliezer Bello was sent back to the GCL Blue Jays.

GCL Blue Jays 1, GCL Phillies East 8

The GCL Blue Jays were no hit on Monday as the GCL Phillies East beat them 8-1.

Dasan Brown (Oakville, Ont.) took a walk, as did Jhon Solarte, Javier D'Orazio, Jose Rivas and Jose Zepeda and Zepeda drove in a run by hitting a sac fly.

Winder Garcia allowed three hits and a walk with three strikeouts in a strong, four-inning start but Eliezer Bello allowed two runs on a hit, three walks and hit batter with four wild pitches in 2/3 of an inning. Williams Moreno stranded both runners he inherited and walked one in 1 1/3 innings before Adrian Hernandez allowed five runs on six hits (including a home run) with a walk in 2/3 of an inning. Juanfer Castro allowed a run on a hit and a walk in 1 1/3 innings.

Roster Notes: Eliezer Bello was sent to the GCL Blue Jays from Bluefield.

DSL Blue Jays 4, DSL Orioles1 5

The DSL Orioles1 edged by the DSL Blue Jays, winning 5-4.

The Blue Jays had eight hits, three of them coming from Francisco Fajardo, who was 3/4 with a double, an RBI, two runs and a stolen base. Gary David was 2/4 with an RBI while Adrian Montero was 1/4 with a stolen base and Glenn Santiago was 1/5 with two RBI. Daniel Oliva was 0/2 with two walks, a run and a stolen base and Junior Ramos was 1/4 with a run.

Jontan Bernal went five innings, allowing four runs on seven hits (including a home run) and struck out two. Jose Quintana took the loss, giving up a run on two hits and a walk with three strikeouts in three innings.
