In eight games on Saturday, the Toronto Blue Jays minor leaguers were 5-3.
Buffalo Bisons 9, Syracuse Mets (NYM) 3
The triple-A Buffalo Bisons brought some power, beating the Syracus Mets 9-3 on Saturday.
Andy Burns led the home run parade, hitting two hoers and going 2/3 with a walk and two solo home runs. Reese McGuire also went deep, going 1/2 with a walk, a two-run home run and a sacrifice fly. Patrick Kivlehan was 2/3 with a walk, a triple and two runs while Socrates Brito also hit a triple, going 2/5 with two RBI. Richard Urena was 1/4 with a double, an RBI and a run while Jordan Patterson and Jonathan Davis were both 1/4 with Patterson driving in a run and scoring one.
Thomas Pannone went six strong innings, striking out nine batters and allowing just one run on three hits and two walks. Corey Copping went two innings, allowing a solo home run and a walk with two strikeouts and Kirby Snead also allowed a solo home run and a walk and struck out one.

Roster Notes: Billy McKinney was optioned to Buffalo while Sean Reid-Foley started for the Jays.
New Hampshire Fisher Cats 2, Trenton Thunder (NYY) 5
The double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats lost to the Trenton Thunder, falling 5-2.
The Fisher Cats had just five hits, getting two from Chad Spanberger who was 2/4 with a run, a double from Logan Warmoth (1/4) and Nash Knight (1/4, RBI) and a single from Riley Adams.
Zach Logue was tagged for two home runs, giving up four runs on five hits and five walks, striking out seven in 5 2/3 innings. Dany Jimenez allowed a run on two hits and a walk with one strikeout in 1 1/3 and Jackson McClelland finished it off, allowing a hit and striking out two in a scoreless eighth.

Dunedin Blue Jays 8, Daytona Tortugas (CIN) 4
The class-A Advanced Dunedin Blue Jays had another convincing win over the Daytona Tortugas, moving their record to 48-28 with an 8-4 win.
Demi Orimoloye (Orleans, Ont.) hit a home run in his second consecutive game, going 1/4 with a three-run blast and added a walk while Kacy Clemens also sent deep, going 2/4 with a solo home run, a walk and two runs. Chavez Young was on base four times, going 2/3 with a double, two walks and an RBI. Cal Stevenson was 2/3 with two walks and three runs, and Alejandro Kirk was 2/3 with two walks, an RBI and a run. Samad Taylor was 1/4 with a stolen base and a run and Cullen Large was 1/4 with a double, walk and an RBI.
Julian Merryweather made a rehab start for the D-Jays, allowing four runs on five hits (including a home run) with two walks and four strikeouts over four innings. Emerson Jimenez allowed a hit and struck out two in an inning and Josh Winckowski finished with four scoreless innings, allowing only one hit and striking out one.

The low-A Lansing Lugnuts opened their series against the Bowling Green Hot Rods with a 4-3 loss.
Griffin Conine hit his eighth home run of the year, going 1/4 with two RBI while D.J. Neal was 2/4 with an RBI. John Aiello was 2/4 with a double and Jake Brodt was 1/4. Otto Lopez (Montreal, Que.) was 1/4 with a run.
Troy Miller went 6 1/3 innings, allowing two runs on five hits with two walks and four strikeouts before Juan Nunez came on to allow two runs on three hits (including a home run) with two strikeouts in 1 2/3 innings. Mike Pascoe finished it off, allowing a walk and striking out two in the ninth.

Vancouver Canadians 4, Spokane Indians (TEX) 0
The class-A Short-Season Vancouver Canadians got some excellent pitching to shut out the Spokane Indians 4-0.
Gabriel Ponce started for the Canadians, going 3 2/3 innings with one hit allowed and two strikeouts before Randy Pondler took over. Pondler allowed three hits and four walks over the final 5 1/3 innings, striking out two to get the win.
Yorman Rodriguez was 2/4 with a double and two RBI while Brett Wright was 1/3 with a double, an RBI and a stolen base. Tanner Morris was 1/4 with a double, an RBI and a run and Cameron Eden was 1/3 with a walk and a stolen base. Ronny Brito was 1/3 with a run.

Bluefield Blue Jays 6, Burlington Royals (KCR) 3
The Bluefield Blue Jays (Rookie Ball) won again, scoring three runs in the bottom of the eighth to beat the Burlington Royals 6-3.
Miguel Hiraldo went deep again, going 2/4 with a solo home run and two RBI, stealing a base, while Joseph Reyes hit his first home run of the year, going 1/4 with two RBI. Andres Guerra was 2/4 with a run and Eric Rivera was 1/3 with a triple, an RBI and a run. Scotty Bradley was 1/4 with a run and Patrick Morris was 0/3 but walked and drove in a run. Steward Berroa was 0/1 with two walks and a run.
Alejandro Melean had a strong start, allowing just one unearned run over five innings, giving up five hits and a walk with three strikeouts. Ronald Magdaniel blew the save, giving up two runs on two hits and two walks in one inning and Gaudy Ramirez gave up a hit and two walks in two innings, striking out one. Kyle Huckaby got the save, walking one in the ninth.

GCL Blue Jays 10, GCL Yankees East 5
The GCL Blue Jays moved to 4-2 with a 10-5 win over the GCL Yankees East.
Orelvis Martinez was 3/5 with a triple, a home run, five RBI and a run. Erickvi Celedonio was 2/5 with an RBI and two runs while Geyber Jimenez was 1/1 with a double, an RBI and a run before being lifted for Javier Hernandez who was 1/2 with an RBI and a run. Rainer Nunez was 1/5 with an RBI and two RBI and Hanley Acevedo was 2/5 with an RBI, a double, a stolen base and two runs. Jhon Solarte was 1/4 with a walk, a run and a stolen base and Jose Zepeda was 1/3 with a run. In the negative column, Alberto Rodriguez was 0/5 with five strikeouts on the game.
In another rehab start, Juan De Paula went three innings, allowing a hit, a run, two walks and struck out three. Michael Dominguez went one inning, giving up a run on a hit and two walks with one strikeout while Brayan Mejia went two scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out one. Wilgenis Alvarado tossed 1 2/3 innings, allowing three runs on two hits and three walks with three strikeouts before giving way to Eliezer Bello who went 1 1/3 innings, walking one and striking out two for the save.

The DSL Blue Jays lost 11-1 to the DSL Orioles1.
The club had just four hits including one each from Adrian Montero (1/3, BB), Gabriel Martinez (1/4), Leonel Callez (1/4) and Amell Brazoban (1/3, 3B, R, SB). Junior Ramos drove in the club's only run, going 0/3.
The Blue Jays used a lot of pitchers, beginning with Soenni Martinez who tossed three scoreless innings, striking out three and giving up just a hit and a walk. Alcindo Pontes allowed three runs on two hits and two walks with two strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings and Andres Garcia allowed a run on four hits with one strikeout in 2/3 of an inning. Gerardo Santana didn't get an out, allowing four runs (two earned) on two hits and two walks before Francis Mercedes allowing three runs (one earned) on three walks with two strikeouts in one inning. Juan Martinez allowed only a hit in two innings of relief and Joneivy Polonia pitched a clean ninth.
