Blue Jays from Away
The Bluefield Blue Jays had their season end with a loss to the Pulaski Yankees and three other teams' seasons ended at the conclusion of the regular season. The Vancouver Canadians and Dunedin Blue Jays were off, preparing to start their playoffs on Tuesday.
Buffalo Bisons 3, Syracuse Chiefs 2
The Buffalo Bisons went out on a high note, finishing their season with a 3-2 win against the Syracuse Chiefs. T.J. House got the start and lasted 2 2/3 innings, giving up two runs on five hits (including a home run) and a walk with four strikeouts. Jared Carkuff, making his triple-A debut, came in in the third inning, stranded two runners and gave up just a hit and a walk over 3 1/3 innings, striking out one to get the win. Justin Shafer also finished strongly, throwing two perfect innings, striking out a pair and Mike Bolsinger finished the game, giving up two hits and striking out one in the ninth to earn his first save with the Bisons.
Roemon Fields added to his Bisons' stolen base record, swiping his 43rd bag with the club (and 50th of the season), going 3/4 with two runs. Anthony Alford hit a double, going 1/4, as did Rowdy Tellez. Dwight Smith Jr. was 2/4 with a double and two RBI and Danny Jansen drove in the third run, going 1/4.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 11, Pawtucket Red Sox 4
Sean Reid-Foley racked up the Ks as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats won their season finale 11-4 over the Portland Sea Dogs. Reid-Foley struck out nine in five innings, allowing three runs on six hits (including two home runs) and a walk to earn his 10th win of the year. Conner Greene ended his year, giving up a run on two hits and two walks in two innings. Dusty Isaacs gave up a walk and a hit but nothing more, striking out two in the eighth and Danny Young went 1-2-3 in the ninth.
Matthew Dean led the offence, launching two home runs in a 3/4 day, driving in four runs and scoring twice. Gunnar Heidt also went deep, going 2/5 with a dinger and three RBI, also scoring twice. Harold Ramirez was 3/4 with a walk, an RBI and two runs while Emilio Guerrero was 2/5 with a double, an RBI and two runs. Lourdes Gurriel also scored twice, going 2/5 with a solo home run.

Lansing Lugnuts 1, Dayton Dragons 10
The Lansing Lugnuts finished the season with a loss, falling 10-1 to the Dayton Dragons. Mike Ellenbest was victimized for six runs on 10 hits and two walks with two strikeouts over four innings while Danilo Manzueta allowed three runs on five hits in 1 2/3 innings with two strikeouts in his Lansing debut. Adams Cuevas allowed a run on two hits and a walk, hitting two batters over two innings in his Lansing debut and Jake Fishman finished the game, striking out two in 1 1/3 innings.
The Lugnuts had 10 hits despite just scoring once. Joshua Palacios was 3/4 with a stolen base and Nash Knight was 2/3 with a sac fly and one RBI. Rodrigo Orozco (2/5, R) and Luis De Los Santos (2/4) each had a pair of hits.

Bluefield Blue Jays 0, Pulaski Yankees 2
The Bluefield Blue Jays had their bats smothered as they lost the deciding game of their playoff series with the Pulaski Yankees 2-0. Maximo Castillo allowed two runs over four innings despite striking out six without walking anyone to take the loss. Jordan Barrett (2 1/3 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 3 K), Graham Spraker (2 1/3 IP, 2 K) and Ty Tice (1/3 IP, 1 K) finished the game, keeping the Blue Jays in it.
The offence only had two hits with Yorman Rodriguez and Jesus Navarro getting the knocks.
