The Toronto Blue Jays' affiliates had a light schedule with the Buffalo Bisons and New Hampshire Fisher Cats off. The Dunedin Blue Jays swept their doubleheader to provide the organization with both of their wins.

Dunedin Blue Jays 5, St. Lucie Mets (NYM) 2

In the first game of a doubleheader, the class-A Advanced Dunedin Blue Jays came out on top, rallying for five runs in the to of the seventh and beating the St. Lucie Mets 5-2.

Righty Joey Murray started, going a solid five innings, giving up two runs on four hits with three strikeouts and no walks. Gage Burland made his season debut, taking the win and striking out one in the sixth and Brad Wilson got the save, striking out two in the seventh.

Third baseman Cullen Large opened the seventh inning with a double before Alejandro Kirk drove him in with a single. Samad Taylor pinch ran and was moved to second on a Ryan Noda sac bunt and Chavez Young reached base on an error before Demi Orimoloye (Orleans, Ont.) singled and Kevin Vicuna doubled before Jesus Navarro grounded out for the second out but a fourth run of the inning. Two walks later, Cullen Large had his second hit of the inning, a single that drove Vicuna home to give the Lugnuts their five-run inning. Large was 2/4 with an RBI and a run, hitting a double while Alejandro Kirk was 1/3 with an RBI. Orimoloye was 1/3 with an RBI and a run, as was Kevin Vicuna with his double. Jesus Navarro had the Blue Jays' only hit that wasn't in the seventh inning, hitting a single in the sixth and going 1/3 with an RBI.

Dunedin Blue Jays 2, St. Lucie Mets (NYM) 0

In Game 2 of the doubleheader, the Dunedin Blue Jays' pitching staff came through, shutting down the St. Lucie Mets in a 2-0 shutout.

First baseman Kacy Clemens had two of the Blue Jays' four hits, scoring once while Kevin Vicuna was 1/2 with a double, a sac fly and an RBI and Samad Taylor was 1/3 with a double and an RBI.

Starter Turner Larkins was outstanding, tossing six shutout innings, allowing only four hits and a walk with five strikeouts to get his fourth win of the season. Dany Jimenez earned his third save, striking out the side in the seventh.

Lansing Lugnuts 7, Great Lakes Loons (LAD) 8

The low-A Lansing Lugnuts played a close game with the Great Lakes Loons but couldn't take advantage of five errors by the Loons, losing 8-7 in 10 innings.

Catcher Gabriel Moreno had another strong game for the Lugnuts, going 3/5 with two RBI and a stolen base as the Lugnuts ran roughshod over the Loons, stealing seven bases as a club. Nick Podkul was 2/4 with a walk, a double, two RBI, two runs and two stolen bases while Hunter Steinmetz was 1/4 with a double, a walk, a run and a stolen base. Reggie Pruitt was 0/4 but was on base with a walk, drove in a run and scored, stealing his 17th base of the year. Otto Lopez (Montreal, Que.) was 1/5 with an RBI and a run and Jake Brodt was 1/5 with a stolen base and a run. Mc Gregory Contreras was 1/4 with an RBI and a walk and Ryan Gold was 0/4 but walked, stole a base and scored.

On the mound, Troy Watson started, but was hit for five runs on six hits (including a home run) and three walks with one strikeout in four innings. Josh Hiatt gave up two runs in four innings, allowing two hits (including a home run) and two walks with three strikeouts. Sean Rackoski allowed an unearned run over two innings (but the run came in the 10th), giving up two hits and striking out three.

Roster Notes: Joey Pulido was placed on the 7-day IL and Troy Watson was assigned to Lansing out of extended spring training.
