The Toronto Blue Jays' minor league affiliates had a split day on Wednesday, going 4-4 in eight games.

Buffalo Bisons 1, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders 3

The Buffalo Bisons continue to fail to get much offence, getting just six hits and one run in a 3-1 loss to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. Michael Saunders (Victoria, B.C.) made an impact, going 2/4 with a double and a run but that was the only extra-base hit. Rowdy Tellez was 1/4 with an RBI.

T.J. House had a solid start, allowing three runs (just two earned) on four hits and three walks with six strikeouts in six innings. Wil Browning threw two scoreless frames, giving up a hit and striking out a pair to finish the game.

Player of the Game: Michael Saunders

Roster Notes: Taylor Cole was sent to the GCL Blue Jays for a rehab assignment. Jonathan Diaz was traded to the New York Yankees but it's not clear what for.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 2, Portland Sea Dogs 0

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats won their second game in a row against the Portland Sea Dogs, taking a 2-0 win and extending their shutout streak to two games. Jon Harris tossed seven scoreless innings, giving up just three hits and striking out four. Jose Fernandez and Andrew Case (Saint John, N.B.) each threw a scoreless inning to seal the shutout.

The Fisher Cats got two hits and a stolen base from Tim Lopes but he didn't figure into the scoring. Richard Urena drove in a run with a sacrifice fly and hit a double while Derrick Loveless and Jonathan Davis each scored.

Player of the Game: Jon Harris

Roster Notes: Kender Villegas was promoted from Dunedin and Alonzo Gonzalez was placed on the temporarily inactive list.

Dunedin Blue Jays 0, Lakeland Flying Tigers 3

The Dunedin Blue Jays came up empty, losing 3-0 to the Lakeland Flying Tigers. Juan Kelly was 2/3 with two of the club's five hits while Cavan Biggio, J.C. Cardenas and Michael De La Cruz each had one.

Conor Fisk had a solid outing but still came out with the loss, going 6 1/3 innings with three runs against on six hits and two walks, striking out three. Tayler Saucedo gave up a hit and a walk but struck out three in 1 2/3 innings.

Player of the Game: None

Roster Notes: Kender Villegas was promoted to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. Mike Reeves (Peterborough, Ont.) was activated off the 7-day DL and Tom Robson (Ladner, B.C.) was placed on the DL.

Lansing Lugnuts 5, West Michigan Whitecaps 6

The Lansing Lugnuts couldn't turn their win on Tuesday into a streak against the West Michigan Whitecaps, losing 6-5 on Wednesday. Vladimir Guerrero (Montreal, Que.) hit his sixth home run of the year, going 1/3 with a walk and two runs. Nash Knight had a strong game, going 2/4 with a double, a triple and three RBI and scoring. Rodrigo Orozco continues his hot streak, going 2/5 with a double and a run. Bo Bichette was held hitless, going 0/4 with a walk and a run.

Andy Ravel started and allowed all six runs on nine hits and two walks over six innings. Juliandry Higuera took over and allowed just one hit and struck out four in the final three innings.

Player of the Game: Nash Knight and Juliandry Higuera

Vancouver Canadians 3, Spokane Indians 2

The Vancouver Canadians (14-7) got some excellent pitching and weathered two solo home runs to beat the Spokane Indians 3-2. Kyle Weatherly allowed both home runs among seven hits but didn't walk anyone and struck out five over seven innings to earn his first win of the year. Bobby Eveld lowered his ERA to 12.86 with a scoreless inning of relief, striking out one and William Ouellette earned the save with two strikeouts in the ninth.

Riley Adams raised his batting average to .391 with a single and a double in four at bats, driving in one. Cullen Large was 1/3 with a walk and two runs in the win.

Player of the Game: Kyle Weatherly and Riley Adams

Bluefield Blue Jays 11, Burlington Royals 1

The Bluefield Blue Jays brought the lumber, scoring 11 runs on 12 hits in beating the Burlington Royals 11-1. Ryan Gold was 2/5 with a home run and three RBI, scoring twice while McGregory Contreras was 1/3 with a walk, a home run and three RBI, scoring twice. Kevin Smith had three hits including a double, with two RBI and a run and adding a stolen base and Chavez Young also had two hits including a double and scored a run. Ryan Noda is hitting .478 on the season with a 2/4 game, adding a walk and three runs.

Turner Larkins tossed an inning, giving up a hit and a walk without allowing a run. Randy Pondler threw two innings, allowing just a walk while striking out two. Tyler Olander got the win, giving up a run on two hits and two walks with four strikeouts in three innings and Marcus Reyes got a three-inning save with two hits allowed and three strikeouts.

Player of the Game: Ryan Gold and McGregory Contreras

Roster Notes: Turner Larkins was assigned to the Bluefield Blue Jays.

GCL Blue Jays 2, GCL Braves 5

The GCL Blue Jays lost their second game of the season, dropping their match 5-2 to the GCL Braves. Logan Warmoth was 2/3 in his professional debut and Jonelvy Molina was 2/4.

Taylor Cole threw a perfect inning beginning his rehab from injury, striking out one. Felipe Castaneda allowed all five runs (four earned) on five hits and three walks in 2 2/3 innings, striking out two to take the loss. Gaudy Ramirez allowed a hit and a walk and nothing more in 2 1/3 innings and Connor Law faced just six batters over two innings, striking out a pair. Juan Meza finished the game, striking out one in a perfect ninth.

Player of the Game: None

Roster Notes: Taylor Cole was sent to the GCL Blue Jays for a rehab assignment and Logan Warmoth, the Jays' top pick in the 2017 draft, was assigned to the GCL Blue Jays.

DSL Blue Jays 4, DSL Padres 2

The DSL Blue Jays won their 20th game of the season, beating the DSL Padres 4-2. Victor Figuereo provided the DSL Blue Jays with their first home run of the season, going 2/4 with two RBI. Andres Martinez was 1/3 with a walk, an RBI and a run.

Nathanael Perez lasted just one-third of an inning before he was lifted after allowing a hit, two walks and striking out a batter. Alexander Molina stranded the bases loaded and pitched 2 2/3 scoreless innings, walking one and striking out two. Juan Jimenez gave up two unearned runs on a hit and a walk with two strikeouts in one inning. Geremy Jimenez got the win, allowing just a walk in two innings. Brayan Mejia walked one in his inning and Elixon Caballero allowed a hit and a walk but struck out four in two innings to earn the save.
