Blue Jays from Away
With the Rookie-level teams in the Blue Jays' complexes in Florida and the Dominican Republic off on Sunday, the Blue Jays' affiliates were 3-3 in six games.
Buffalo Bisons 0, Lehigh Valley IronPigs 8
The triple-A Buffalo Bisons dropped Sunday's match against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs 8-0, getting just five hits and giving up five home runs.
Gio Urshela had two of the hits, adding a walk and Michael De La Cruz was 1-for-2 with a double and a walk.
Nick Tepesch gave up all eight runs, allowing 12 hits and a walk, giving up five home runs in 4 2/3 inning before Claudio Custodio came on to make his triple-A debut, throwing 2 1/3 scoreless innings, giving up a hit and two walks with four strikeouts. Conor Fisk finished it, striking out three batters in the eighth, allowing a hit.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 3, Portland Sea Dogs 1
Jon Harris had an outstanding game, holding the Portland Sea Dogs to one run on the way to a 3-1 New Hampshire Fisher Cats victory. Harris gave up just a solo home run among three hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in seven innings to pick up his seventh win while Danny Young got the save, allowing just one hit with one strikeout in two innings.
Andrew Guillotte was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs while Cavan Biggio was 1-for-3 with a triple and a walk, driving in a run. Max Pentecost also hit a double, as did Gunnar Heidt who was 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a stolen base. Jon Berti was 1-for-5 with a double.

Dunedin Blue Jays 5, Tampa Tarpons 4
The class-A Advanced Dunedin Blue Jays won again, beating the Tampa Tarpons 5-4 on Sunday.
Santiago Espinal is swinging a hot bat and went 3-for-4 with an RBI while Joshua Palacios was 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, three runs and two stolen bases. Kevin Smith was 0-for-3 but walked twice and drove in a run, scoring once and stealing three bases. Ivan Castillo stole two bases as the Blue Jays ran wild, walking twice and going 0-for-3. Rodrigo Orozco also swiped a bag, going 1-for-3 with a walk and Yeltsin Gudino walked twice, stealing a base and scoring a run.
Connor Eller earned the win with six scoreless innings, giving up just three hits and two walks with two strikeouts. Ty Tice pitched two scoreless innings but William Ouellette ran into trouble in the ninth, getting just one out and giving up four runs on three hits and a walk. Jake Fishman came in with one out and retired two batters for the save, giving up a hit and striking out one.

Lansing Lugnuts 2, Clinton LumberKings 6
The low-A Lansing Lugnuts continued to have problems with the Clinton LumberKings, losing 6-2 on Sunday.
Kyle Weatherly got the start, going two innings and allowing two runs on three hits and three walks with just one strikeout. Dalton Rodriguez provided three scoreless innings, allowing three hits and a walk with one strikeout. Matt Shannon, coming off the DL, gave up a hit and a walk with a strikeout in the sixth and Andrew Deramo got hit around, allowing four runs on five hits with a walk and three strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings. Yunior Hinojosa stranded two runners, striking out one in 2/3 of an inning.
Samad Taylor was 2-for-5 with two stolen bases and Jesus Navarro was 2-for-3 with a walk. Norberto Obeso drove in a run, going 1-for-4 and Brandon Grudzielanek was 1-for-4 with a double, a walk, and a run. Chavez Young was 1-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base.

Vancouver Canadians 2, Boise Hawks 6
The class-A Short-Season Vancouver Canadians lost again to the Boise Hawks by a 6-2 score. The Canadians had just five hits including a triple by Canadian Tanner Kirwer (Sherwood Park, Alta.) who was 1-for-4 with a run and two stolen bases. Vinny Capra was 1-for-3 with an RBI sac fly.
Jose Espada had a solid start, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks with seven strikeouts over six innings. Will McAffer (North Vancouver, B.C.) was lit up to the tune of four runs on three hits and a walk and two strikeouts in the seventh inning and Fitz Stadler threw a scoreless eighth, striking out one.

Bluefield Blue Jays 7, Danville Braves 1
A day after getting destroyed by the Danville Braves, the rookie-class Bluefield Blue Jays supported Eric Pardinho's stellar performance with a 7-1 win.
Pardinho allowed just a solo home run (to Carlos Baerga, the son of former MLB All-Star, Carlos Baerga) to score among four hits and three walks in five innings, striking out six to pick up his second win and to square his record at 2-2. Nicolas Medina went through the Braves' order without surrendering a hit or a walk, striking out four and Andy McGuire gave up a hit and a walk but no runs in the ninth, striking out one.
D.J. Daniels was 3-for-4 with a double and a run while Dominic Abbadessa was 2-for-5 with a double and a triple, scoring twice. Rafael Lantigua was also 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI. Alejandro Kirk was 1-for-3 with two walks, an RBI and a run. Patrick Morris was on base twice, going 1-for-2 with a walk and a sacrifice fly.
