Blue Jays from Away

In seven games, the Toronto Blue Jays' affiliates were 4-3 on Friday.

Buffalo Bisons 6, Durham Bulls 5

With an RBI single from Jonathan Davis and a sacrifice fly from Rowdy Tellez, the triple-A Buffalo Bisons scored two in the ninth to walk off with a 6-5 win over the Durham Bulls.

Davis was 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI and a run, stealing his fourth base with the Bisons. Dalton Pompey (Mississauga, Ont.) was 2-for-4 with a double (as part of the ninth-inning rally), two runs and a stolen base and was also hit by a pitch. Danny Jansen was 1-for-3 with a walk and was hit by a pitch and Darnell Sweeney was 1-for-4 with a double.

Chris Rowley started for the Bisons, tossing seven innings and giving up five runs although only one was earned. He allowed six hits and a walk with five strikeouts before turning things over to Murphy Smith who threw two innings, giving up just one hit with one strikeout.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 1, Harrisburg Senators 12

The double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats were vastly outplayed in a 12-1 loss to the Harrisburg Senators.

The Senators hit four home runs off of the Fisher Cats' pitchers but only one was off starter Jon Harris who gave up six runs on nine hits in three innings with three strikeouts. Nick Hartman allowed two runs on three hits with two walks and four strikeouts in four innings. and Kirby Snead allowed two runs on four hits in 1 1/3 innings with one strikeout. Dusy Isaacs finished the eighth, stranding the bases loaded and getting two outs and Ryan Hissey, coming in to pitch, allowed two runs on two hits (including a home run) in the ninth.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (Montreal, Que.) had two hits ,driving in the club's only run and Santiago Espinal and Connor Panas (Toronto, Ont.) were each 1-for-3 with a walk.

Dunedin Blue Jays 7, Tampa Tarpons 5

The class-A Advanced Dunedin Blue Jays got Brock Lundquist's first Florida State League home run in the bottom of the ninth to walk off with a 7-5 win over the Tampa Tarpons.

Nash Knight drove in three runs, going 2-for-4 with a home run while Rodrigo Orozco was 2-for-3 with a double and a run. Kacy Clemens was 1-for-3 with two runs and a walk, hitting a double and David Jacob was 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Lundquist was 1-for-4 with two RBI, hitting a two-run shot in the ninth.

Roberto Osuna started, giving up a hit in his inning and Connor Eller allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and four walks with two strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings. Andy Ravel allowed a run on three hits with a strikeout in 2 1/3 innings and Jackson McClelland got a win despite allowing two runs on three hits and a walk in 1 1/3 innings.

Lansing Lugnuts 3, Peoria Chiefs 7

The low-A Lansing Lugnuts lost 7-3 to the Peoria Chiefs, the exact same score by which they lost the day before.

Ryan Noda was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs, stealing a base while Reggie Pruitt stole a base, his 20th, going 1-for-4. Brandon Grudzielanek was 1-for-4 with an RBI.

Graham Spraker started, giving up four runs on seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts in six innings. Andrew Deramo allowed just a hit and a walk with two strikeouts in two innings and Dany Jimenez gave up three runs on two hits (including a home run) and a walk in the ninth.

Vancouver Canadians 1, Hillsboro Hops 10

The class-A Short-Season Vancouver Canadians were easily handled by the Hillsboro Hops, losing 10-1. Bryan Lizardo had three of the club's six hits, going 3-for-4 with a double and a run. Otto Lopez was 1-for-2 with a walk before coming out of the game.

Juan Nunez started, giving up just one hit (a solo home run), walking three and striking out three in four innings. Denis Diaz allowed five runs in 1/3 of an inning, giving up two hits and three walks. Joey Pulido came into the game in the fifth with the bases loaded and allowed all three runners to score, giving up just one unearned run of his own in 2 2/3 innings, striking out two. Will McAffer (North Vancouver, B.C.) gave up three runs (two earned) on two hits and two walks with two strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings and Marcus Reyes allowed two of three inherited runners to score, giving up a hit in 2/3 of an inning to finish the game.

Bluefield Blue Jays 3, Johnson City Cardinals 2

The rookie-class Bluefield Blue Jays got a run in the eighth and a run in the ninth to beat the Johnson City Cardinals 3-2.

Andres Guerra had two of the club's five hits, going 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and a run. Patrick Morris was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run and Dominic Abbadessa was 1-for-3 with a double. Alejandro Kirk hit his fifth home run of the year, going 1-for-3 with a walk and the solo shot.

Troy Watson allowed just a hit over three innings and Cre Finfrock allowed two hits and a walk in three innings, striking out two. Grant Townsend gave up two runs on a hit and a walk in two innings over 2/3 of an inning and Nicolas Medina walked on in 2/3 of an inning, striking out one. Sean Rackoski got the win, allowing a hit and striking out two in 1 2/3 innings.

GCL Blue Jays

DSL Blue Jays 5, DSL Reds 2

DSL Blue Jays handed the DSL Reds a 5-2 loss, getting some solid pitching from Ronald Govea and Adrian Hernandez. Each gave up a run on two hits and a walk and Govea struck out five in four innings and Hernandez struck out four in five innings.

Jose Rivas was 2-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and a run, and Pedro Hurtado was 2-for-3. Jhon Solarte was 1-for-4 with a double, a walk, an RBI and a run, adding his 16th stolen base. Catcher Jesus Hernandez was 1-for-2 with a double and two runs.
