The tirple-A Buffalo Bisons still didn't play (because of the schedule, not because of weather) and the other three teams went 1-2 with the double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats continuing to roll through the Eastern League

Roster Notes: The Blue Jays activated Dalton Pompey (Mississauga, Ont.) and Anthony Alford off the DL and optioned them to Buffalo.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 5, Binghamton Rumble Ponies 2

In just two hours, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats disposed of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, moving their record to 9-3 with a 5-2 win. Jordan Romano (Markham, Ont.) was excellent, giving up just a run on two hits and three walks over seven innings with four strikeouts before the bullpen took over. Jose Fernandez gave up a run on two hits with a strikeout in 1 2/3 innings and Zach Jackson came on for the one-out save.

Lourdes Gurriel led the offence, going 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two runs while Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (Montreal, Que.) was 2-for-4 as the DH and Max Pentecost was 2-for-4 with an RBI behind the plate where he caught the only runner trying to steal. Cavan Biggio was 1-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run while Harold Ramirez was 1-for-4 with an RBI.

Dunedin Blue Jays 2, Fort Myers Miracle 4

The class-A Advanced Dunedin Blue Jays scored two runs but they were too little and too late in a 4-2 loss to the Fort Myers Miracle on Thursday. The Blue Jays had just three hits including two from Eduard Pinto (who was 2-for-3 with a run and was caught stealing). Yeltsin Gudino was 1-for-2 with a sacrifice bunt.

Josh DeGraaf had a solid start despite taking the loss, giving up two runs on six hits and a walk with six strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings. Jake Fishman allowed a run on two hits (including a solo home run) in 1 1/3 innings and Juliandry Higuera allowed another run on two hits and a walk with two strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings.

Lansing Lugnuts 3, Lake County Captains 4

On Thursday, the low-A Lansing Lugnuts fell 4-3 to the Lake County Captains despite strong work from their starter, Yennsy Diaz. Diaz didn't allow an earned run, giving up just two hits and two walks, getting charged with three unearned runs over six innings with five strikeouts. Brody Rodning didn't give up a hit and was charged with an unearned run over two innings, walking one and striking out one. Ty Tice finished the game with a clean ninth, striking out one.

Kevin Vicuna had four hits, scoring once but he also made three errors in the field. Chavez Young was 2-for-4 and Christian Williams was 1-for-4 with a double. Kacy Clemens (who also made an error) was 1-for-4 with a walk and a run and Ryan Noda walked twice.
