The Blue Jays minor league teams had two games on Monday with the club's splitting them.

Dunedin Blue Jays 5, Tampa Tarpons (NYY) 3
The class-A Advanced Dunedin Blue Jays opened their series against the Tampa Tarpons on Monday with a 5-3 win, scoring four runs with two outs in the ninth to pick up the victory.
Hunter Steinmetz got the ninth-inning rally under way with one out by getting hit by a pitch. After Kevin Vicuna grounded out, pushing Steinmetz to second, Norberto Obeso drove in a run with a single and Cullen Large followed with another single, putting runners on first and third. Ryan Noda took a walk to load the bases, bringing up Alejandro Kirk, who hit a three-run double to give the Blue Jays a 5-3 lead. Kirk was 2/5 with the three RBI while Ryan Noda was 3/4 with a double, a walk and a run. Norberto Obeso was 2/3 with two walks, an RBI and a run and Vicuna, Large, and Samad Taylor were 1/4 with Vicuna stealing a base and taking a walk, Large adding a walk and Taylor hitting a double.
Justin Dillon started, going 5 2/3 solid innings, giving up two runs on four hits with four walks. Kyle Weatherly allowed the Tarpons' third run, allowing one hit and striking out one in 1 1/3 innings. William Ouellette went two innings, striking out three to finish the game and pick up the win.

Lansing Lugnuts 2, Quad Cities River Bandits (HOU) 4
The low-A Lansing Lugnuts headed to the Quad Cities, losing 4-2 to open their series against the River Bandits.
The River Bandits were successful in stifling the Lugnuts' offense, giving up just three hits with Otto Lopez (Montreal, Que.) going 1/4 and Mc Gregory Contreras and Rafael Lantigua each getting a hit with Contreras's being an RBI double. Nick Podkul was 0/1 with two walks, an RBI on a sacrifice fly and a stolen base. Tanner Kirwer (Sherwood Park, Alta.) was 0/2 with a walk, a stolen base and a run.
Cobi Johnson had a solid start, going five innings and giving up just one run with three hits and four walks, striking out five, despite taking the loss. Fitz Stadler allowed three runs on three hits and two walks with three strikeouts in three innings.
