Blue Jays from Away
In six games on Wednesday, the Toronto Blue Jays' minor leaguers were 1-5 despite seeing a few excellent individual performances.

Dunedin Blue Jays 0, Clearwater Threshers 4
The class-A Advanced Dunedin Blue Jays had their eight-game winning streak snapped as well as their shutout streak as the Clearwater Threshers scored four runs in the ninth to defeat the Dunedin Blue Jays 4-0.
Starter Patrick Murphy had things well in hand, allowing only two hits and one walk through seven innings, striking out eight and William Ouellette pitched a clean eighth inning, striking out one. Ty Tice took the loss, giving up four runs on four hits with one walk in the ninth.
The D-Jays had just five hits including a single and a double from Ivan Castillo and a double from Joshua Palacios.

Lansing Lugnuts 6, Burlington Bees 2
The low-A Lansing Lugnuts had a big day from Ryan Noda who had three of the club's 12 hits on the way to a 6-4 win against the Burlington Bees.
Noda hit two doubles and a triple, driving in three runs with one run scored, going 3-for-4 with a sacrifice fly. Chavez Young was 2-for-4 with a double and a triple, taking a walk, stealing a base and scoring three times and Kevin Vicuna was 2-for-5 with a double. Ryan Gold was 2-for-5 with two RBI and Reggie Pruitt was 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and a run. Norberto Obeso was 1-for-3 with a walk and was hit by a pitch.
Matt Gunter won his second game for the Lugnuts, tossing six innings and giving up a run on three hits and three walks with one strikeout. Andrew Deramo allowed a run on one hit in his inning and Kyle Weather pitched two scoreless innings, striking out two to finish the game.

Vancouver Canadians 5, Boise Hawks 6
The class-A Short-Season Vancouver Canadians thought they were cruising to a 5-2 win over the Boise Hawks but the Hawks rallied for four runs in the bottom of the ninth, beating Vancouver 6-5.
Otto Lopez (Montreal, Que.) was 4-4 with two RBI on the night and Mc Gregory Contreras (2-for-4, R) and Sherwood Park, Alta., native Tanner Kirwer (2-for-4, 2B, RBI, R) had two hits each. Yorman Rodriguez was 1-for-3 with a double and a run and Griffin Conine was 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
Josh Winckowski had a solid start, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits with three strikeouts over six innings. Denis Diaz allowed just a hit in the seventh and Fitz Stadler struck out one in the eighth. Justin Watts was charged with two runs in 1/3 of an inning in the ninth, giving up a hit and a walk and Will McAffer (North Vancouver, B.C.) allowed a grand slam, getting charged with the loss and two runs on two hits.

Bluefield Blue Jays 5, Princeton Rays 7
The rookie-class Bluefield Blue Jays got a home run from Alejandro Kirk but it wasn't enough as the club put up just five hits as a team and lost 7-5 to the Princeton Rays. Kirk was 2-for-4 with the solo home run and Andy McGuire was 1-for-1 with a double and two walks. Cal Stevenson and Dominic Abbadessa each had a single and a stolen base with each of them scoring a run.
Felipe Castaneda started, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits with two walks and four strikeouts in five innings. Josh Almonte allowed two hits with two strikeouts in two innings and Mike Pascoe took the loss, giving up three runs on four hits in the eighth inning.

GCL Blue Jays

DSL Blue Jays 0, DSL D-backs1 3
The DSL Blue Jays dropped the opener of their doubleheader with the DSL D-backs1 3-0 on Wednesday. The Blue Jays had just three hits, all singles with one each by Jhon Solarte, Alberto Rodriguez and Geyber Jimenez.
Junior Guzman threw a complete game for the Blue Jays, tossing seven innings and giving up three runs on five hits (including a home run) with one walk and three strikeouts.

DSL Blue Jays 2, DSL D-backs1 4
While the DSL Blue Jays had more hits and scored twice in the second half of the doubleheader, they still lost 4-2 to the DSL D-backs1.
Jose Zepeda had a pair of hits and a walk, scoring once and Alberto Rodriguez was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Miguel Hiraldo was 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI and catcher Jesus Hernandez was 1-for-2 with a walk and a run.
Lazaro Estrada went 5 1/3 innings, striking out six and allowing two runs on two hits (including a home run) and a walk. Jhoan Dominguez gave up two runs on two hits and a walk with a strikeout in 2/3 of an inning.
