Dunedin Blue Jays 5, Tampa Yankees 4
An early burst of four runs in the third inning gave the Dunedin Blue Jays (14-11) a cushion to work with and a fifth run in the fifth inning gave the club all they needed to beat the Tampa Yankees 5-4. Danny Jansen hit his third home run of the year, going 2/4 with two runs while Mike Reeves, fresh off of hitting his first home run, was 2/4 with a double. Lane Thomas was 1/4 with a double and two RBI while Juan Kelly was 1/3 with a double, a walk, two RBI and a run.
T.J. Zeuch picked up his second win with a solid start. Zeuch worked 5 1/3 innings and was charged with two runs on seven hits but didn't walk anyone and struck out six. Connor Eller relieved Zeuch and allowed one of his two inherited runners to score but didn't allow any of his own in 1 2/3 innings, striking out two. Danny Young gave up his first two earned runs of the season over his 1 1/3 innings, allowing a two-run home run in the ninth before making way for Andrew Case. Case got the final two outs (one by strikeout) to earn his third save.
