The double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats finished off their series, moving on to the Eastern League Finals after sweeping the Trenton Thunder.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 5, Trenton Thunder 1

In a game that was delayed four hours due to weather, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats kept their heads and completed the sweep of the Trenton Thunder with a 5-1 win on Friday. Catcher Patrick Cantwell was 3/4 with a double and a stolen base in the win while Cavan Biggio was 2/4 with three RBI. Jon Berti was on base three times, going 1/2 with a double, two walks and two runs while Harold Ramirez was 1/3 with a walk, an RBI and two runs.

Jordan Romano (Markham, Ont.) picked up the win, going 5 2/3 innings and giving up just one unearned run on three hits with a walk and two strikeouts. Corey Copping tossed two scoreless innings, stranding two inherited runners and allowing two hits and striking out three while Kirby Snead finished the eighth, striking out the only batter he faced. Travis Bergen allowed a hit in a scoreless ninth to finish off the series.
