MLB ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL ACTIVITY AT PLAY BALL PARK

INCLUDING COVID-19 VACCINATIONS, LEGENDS SCHEDULE & DAILY GIVEAWAYS

Vinny Castilla & Larry Walker to Appear Alongside Baseball Hall of Famers, Former All-Stars, Olympic Gold Medalists

Major League Baseball today announced a variety of additional activity at PLAY BALL PARK, All-Star Week’s biggest free fan event, including interactions with former Major Leaguers and Softball Legends as well as a special COVID-19 vaccination opportunity for local residents and visitors alike. Fans can access these and all PLAY BALL Park activities by registering for their complimentary passes at AllStarGame.com.

In partnership with CVS Health, a vaccine clinic will be available for all eligible teenagers and adults to receive a COVID-19 vaccine in a private and secure clinic inside the Colorado Convention Center. The vaccination program is part of a continuing effort by MLB, its Clubs and Players to promote and encourage COVID-19 vaccinations. Earlier in June, MLB launched “MLB Vaccinate at the Plate” where each of the 30 MLB Clubs hosted events for unvaccinated fans to receive a free ticket to a game if they received a COVID-19 vaccination dose through the occasion. Additionally, many Major League ballparks served as mass vaccination sites for the public during the off-season where more than one million total vaccine doses were administered across the United States.

A deep lineup of Hall of Famers, Olympic Gold Medalists and former Colorado Rockies stars will make appearances at PLAY BALL Park where they will sign autographs and pose for photos with fans throughout the five-day event. All-Star Ambassadors Vinny Castilla and Hall of Fame electee Larry Walker are among the 30+ special guests making appearances July 9th-13th.

As part of the free admission to PLAY BALL Park, fans will have additional opportunities to receive free autographs, snap photographs and participate in question-and-answer sessions and clinics led by former players inside the convention center.

In addition to the Castilla and Walker, PLAY BALL PARK will feature appearances by Hall of Famers such as Andre Dawson, Rollie Fingers, Fergie Jenkins, Juan Marichal and Tim Raines, Olympic Gold medalists Lisa Fernandez, Jennie Finch, Natasha Watley and other legends of the game.
