Jennifer's T12 album

There were all kinds of celebrations going on at Tournament 12 inside the Rogers Centre, especially for the eventual winners: Ontario Green. That included the likes of OF Noel McGarry-Doyle (Maple, Ont.), left and Lucas Barry (Mississauga, Ont.). Photos: Jennifer Redenbach.

Ontario Green won the sixth annual Tournament 12 with a 5-2 win over Alberta at the Rogers Centre on Monday.

Jennifer Redenbach was at the stadium throughout the tournament and captured some of its most memorable moments.

Ontario Black vs. Ontario Green - Sunday, September 16

INF TJ Schofield-Sam (Brampton, Ont.) of Ontario Green scored ahead of a diving C Ryan Leitch (Whitby, Ont.) of Ontario Black. Bryce Arnold (Grimsby, Ont.) gives the safe sign.

INF TJ Schofield-Sam had three hits, including a double and knocked in a pair of runs in an 8-0 win on Sunday. Michael Stremlaw (Oakville, Ont.) started for Ontario Black allowing only two runs in four innings on three hits and four walks. He struck out three.

RHP Noah LaLonde (Toronto, Ont.) worked 1 2/3 scoreless innings in Ontario Black’s 8-0 loss to Ontario Green on Sunday.

LaLonde, who pitches for the Ontario Yankees, walked three and fanned one in his outing on Sunday.

BC vs Alberta - Sunday, September 16

BC had a one-run lead heading into the bottom of the seventh, thanks to two hits apiece from 3B Joshua Walker (Victoria, BC), RF Daniel Martin (Langley, BC), DH Brandon Nicoll (Coombs, BC) and LF Dayton Peters (Abbbotsford, BC).

RHP Jackson Flemons (Vancouver, BC) allowed three runs — two earned — in 1 2/3 innings.

But Alberta would rally in the bottom of the seventh. It all began when Ayden Makarus (Airdie, Alta.) worked a lead-off walk. One out later Dymitri Pavlove (Calgary, Alta.) singled to right, advancing Makarus. After a mound visit, Jackson Flemons (Vancouver, BC) attempted to pick Pavlove off first. The ball went into foul ground allowing Makarus to score and Pavlove to reach third.

BC’s Ryan Beitel (Cloverdale, BC, Josh Walker (Victoria, BC) and Madjik Mckenzie (Vancouver, BC).

Then Michael Brisson (St. Alberta, Alta.) walked and with the infield in, 2B Madjik McKenzie (Vancouver, BC) fielded the ground ball, looked Pavlove back and threw to first for the second out.

Wily Alexander Diaz Vasquez (Edmonton, Alta.) then singled to centre for a 6-5 Alberta win.

It is easy to tell the outcome from the look on the face of BC C Kayden Beauregard (Abbotsford, BC) and as Alberta’s Alejandro Cazorla (Surrrey, BC) jumped for joy into the arms of a teammate.

Atlantic vs. Prairies - Sunday, September 16

CF Micah McDowell (Coldbrook, NS) had two hits, including a triple and knocked in a run as Atlantic edged the Prairies 3-1.

Atlantic shortstop Nick Gravel had two walks in his club’s 3-1 win over the Prairies on Sunday. Here he takes his lead off first base after one of his walks.

LHP Hayden Dow (Saint John, NB) and RHP Ben MacDougall (Summerside, PEI) each pitched two scoreless with the win going to Dow.

Atlantic pitcher Joshua Myers (Elmsdale, PEI) pitched two innings allowing one run on three hits, while fanning a pair in his team’s 3-1 win over the Prairies on Sunday at T12.
