The Junior National Team lost 4-3 to the Philadelphia Phillies DSL squad on Friday.

The Canadians scored three runs in the sixth inning to take a 3-1 lead, but the Phillies countered with three runs in the bottom half of the frame to secure the victory.

Hudson White (St. John’s, Nfld.) provided the Junior National Team with a strong start on the mound, allowing only two hits in four scoreless innings, while striking out two.

A three-run homer by Myles Naylor (Mississauga, Ont.) in the sixth accounted for all of the Juniors’ runs. Naylor finished 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a run scored.

BJ Peart (Markham, Ont.) had a perfect 1-for-1 day at the plate, smashing a double and collecting a pair of walks.

Will Hynes (Mississauga, Ont.) worked 3 1/3 innings in relief, permitting only a pair of hits, while striking out three.
