The Junior National defeated the San Francisco Giants DSL squad 3-2 in a weather shortened, five-inning game on Saturday.
The Juniors scored three runs on four hits.
Elliot Cadieux Lanoue (St. Pie, Que.) started for the Juniors and didn’t allow a hit or an earned run, while striking out three, in three innings. Nick Frers (North Vancouver, B.C.) replaced Cadieux Lanoue and permitted a run on two hits in 1 2/3 innings.
Brendan Lawson (North York, Ont.) powered the offence with a 2-for-2 performance. Meanwhile, Deiten Lachance (Sherbrooke, Que.) continued to swing a hot bat, collecting an RBI double. Cardel Dick (Abbotsford, B.C.) picked up the only other hit for the Juniors.
