The Junior National Team lost 6-2 to the San Diego Padres DSL squad on Wednesday.

The Canadians scored two runs on two hits.

Box Score

Sam Maclaughlin (Toronto, Ont.) started and worked four innings and allowed just one earned run on one hit, while striking out six, in his Junior National Team debut.

Deiten Lachance (Sherbrooke, Que.) collected the only two hits for the Juniors with a single and a two-run double.

Makaio Cisneros (Whitby, Ont.) pitched the middle innings, allowing three runs on three hits with five walks and five strikeouts.
