Joliet and Janisse win Frontier League title

Besides, 3B Vladimir Guerrero (Montreal, Que.), RHP Jordan Romano (Markham, Ont.), RP Andrew Case (St. John, NB), OF Conor Panas (Toronto, Ont.), OF Dalton Pompey (Mississauga, Ont.) and RHP Brayden Bouchey (White Rock, BC), RP Skylar Janisse (Maidstone, Ont.) pitched for the Joliet Slammers, who won the independent Frontier League.
Janisse was 0-2 with one save and a 5.94 ERA during the regular season for Joliet. He walked 32 and fanned 44 in 50 innings of work.
Joliet beat the Washington Wild Things 4-2 in the best-of-five final. In the first round the Slammers knocked off the River City Rascals 6-0 in the fifth and deciding game, after falling behind 2-1. Janisse did not pitch in the playoffs.
