The Douglas College Royals are thrilled to announce effective October 1, 2019, Jordan Broatch will assume full Head Baseball Coach duties.

The University of Fraser Valley graduate, has been involved with the Royals Baseball program over the past two years as the lead Assistant Coach and Pitching Coach. His baseball experience at the grassroots level as the Director of Operations with the White Rock South Surrey Association, coupled with his playing and coaching experience within the U.S (Laredo CC, Texas) and specifically NWAC, are the strengths Coach Broatch brings to Douglas College Baseball.

In addition to his baseball and coaching experience, Coach Broatch is familiar and understands the Royals Athletics' culture and the post-secondary environment. Jordan has a firm grasp on the Royals' goal to inspire and develop the whole student and demonstrate how varsity sport can enhance the student-athlete experience.

"This is more than an opportunity for me but an opening for all prospective baseball players across Canada that want to achieve higher expectations of themselves as student-athletes. Having the opportunity to coach our athletes to new heights at Douglas College is truly exciting and am deeply honoured to share the future Royals moments with the coaches and players," said Broatch.

The NWAC baseball season league home opener is scheduled for March 28, 2019 as the Royals play host to Olympic Community College at Whalley Stadium, Surrey BC.
