Josh Williams returns to IBL's London Majors

Official Intercounty Baseball League News Release
The London Majors have signed first baseman Josh Williams.
Williams returns to the Majors after playing 17 games in the regular season with them in 2019.
Williams was one of the Majors’ best offensive players in the first round of the playoffs against Welland when he hit for an average of .350, registered five RBIs and had a big home run in game 4. The Toronto native was a regular at first base. Josh’s size, 6-foot-5, gives his teammates a big target plus he also has a good glove.
“Playing for the Majors, being in the best stadium, and having the best fans in the IBL will be something I’m always thankful for. Then you top that off by having a manager like Roop who’d do anything for his team…makes it an easy decision to come back next summer and work towards an IBL title,” said Williams. “Look forward to seeing you all!”
“It’s great to have Josh back with the Majors,” said Majors general manager, co-owner and manager Roop Chanderdat “He gives us another power type hitter in the line-up. I’m looking forward to having Josh for a full season on our team. He had a great finish to his first season with us two years ago and this should help him this season now that he knows the league.”
The London Majors are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
